Hi all, I have a w205 c250 equipped with the amg package, but have no pops or crackles when driving in Sport + mode. Please recommend concise suggestions of how to implement this.

you will need to turn to a chip tuning company for overrun & anti-lag tuning.
i assume you have a 4 cil turbo 250 and not the old canadian V6 atmo.this will only work on turbo engines

no an exhaust can't do the trick since this is something that is happening in between shifts

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a turbo to have the pops and crackles. I’ve tuned to old e90 M3 to have the same effect and thats a NA v8. What the car is actually does is its dumping extra fuel on the accelerator pedal release to create the popping sounds. Overtime this might shorten the life span of your 02 sensors and catalytic converter. Due to the increase of exhaust gas temps.

i was also interessted in this for a same engine, i called a few tuners and the all didnt recommend it without downpipe, the tell me also it will defintely decrease the lifespan of the catalyst, and your turbo will also keeps spooling. so not really good for your car.

similar to how anti-lag tune works, just not as extreme.

This is weird. I had 2015 C250 W205 with cracks&bangs out of the factory. No tuning needed.

Are you in Germany? I believe some countries offered a sport exhaust as part of the AMG package.

I don't really care for pop and crackles but want more deeper exhaust sounds. Do I need the ECU tuned or a new exhaust system installed or both? I think Suzuki swift is louder than mine at the moment.
I don't like plug & play like Armytrix...

I'm not from Germany, but I'm from Europe. I think sport exhaust is available only for AMG models, C43 and C63, not for regular C class. Can someone confirm they have C200/C250/C300 with pops and bangs from the factory? It's seems there are cars with this implemented at the factory. It's like they did the factory anti-lag tuning.

In select European countries, you can/could select a Performance Exhaust System (U21) as part of the AMG package for regular C class models https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...st-system.html
One comment on YouTube video says it's only for 550 euros (2 years ago). This option was never available in Australia.....

from the video this cold start sounds similair with my car, with valve open.

only his turbo spooling sounds a little bit harder, in the driving video

my previous golf 7 1.4tsi has more sound more turbo spooling and harder dsg farts, then my w205

my exhaust line is looking below, im going to remove this weekend the muffler marked on the picture, i think this is the secondary cat, to try what is does.

does anyone know if this will decrease torque or something, because maybe the back pressure changes of turbo spooling ?

Has anybody tried this AWE exhaust? https://www.lmperformance.com/905722...n-exhaust.html
It fits C250. They discontinued the SwitchPath Edition but the Touring Edition is available.

Or an Eisenmann exhaust. I believe they supply exhausts to AMG.

Found a video on C200 W205 135kw https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1319529128130363
They have an exhaust system compatible with C180 and C200 135kw... I contacted them to see if they have one for C250/C300 but probably not, unless the one for C200/C180 is compatible?

I have a 2015 c300 and it sounds exactly like the first video, and I've done exactly nothing performance wise to my car. Not even a tune, ECU override, anything. Interesting that OPs doesn't do the same. My friend's does the same as mine from factory too.

I think it's helpful if you post your "technical detail sheet" with all the factory options. Those who say they have pop and crackles (same exhaust notes in the videos I posted) may have a U21 as stock. U21 came as standard if you got the AMG package in Germany, so it also depends on the country you live in whether you have the sport exhaust system.
I've also heard somewhere that the pop and crackles got deleted for 2016 and newer models.

Just checked the list of options on my car and there is no U21. I know for sure there was no performance exhaust as an option for my car when I ordered it, but somehow my car had pops and bangs. It is built in Bremen, Germany in 2015.

You can find several threads where it is mentioned the tuning was changed in 2016+ vehicles that removed the exhaust sounds you guys are referencing. The only way to get that sound now is with the Performance Exhaust option on a C43 or C63 (at least here in the States).
