it's not that hard to do:

• Remove the center console.
• Strip some side ambient wires.
• Solder on a male JST connector
• Add the female JST to the end of your new trim piece.

(That's if you have factory 3 color ambient package)

I still have half a year warranty from mercedes and then 3 years extra from dealer that is why I wish I didnt had to modify existing cables

well i installed mine today.
fitment is not that great, had to use 3M 2sided tape
installing is easy but i wish i didn't had to modify my cable tree

Funny story. I took the 2 large screws out of the center console and the 2 medium screws out of the screen bracket for this install.

Then i spent 30 minutes wondering why the screen bracket screws would'nt screw back in, like before.

I was using the wrong larger console screws for the sceen bracket. Lol. *Sigh.

now i also want to order that one! it always bothered me that light came out on top but now that they actually added light there it looks good.

It was actually a very good quality kit and now much cheaper. The bottom light is a clear tubing, but the top is a frosted white bar. I also had to transfer the metal clips over.

i ordered it. i'm curious because i currently have my OEM alu trim piece with the light tube on my car, the plastic trim that came with it was horrible.
Hope this trim piece is better but the lights already look great

Really like the finished look. Tempted to do this to my 2021 sedan. I have the factory installed 64 color LED system, just wondering if the wiring would easily tap in?

it depends on the seller, but usually they send a plug and play kit with connectors.
