I'm interested in retrofitting that as well. Does anyone have part numbers? I tried to look up in the parts catalogue using VINs of facelifted models but nothing was available yet...
You mean going from analog to digital as in the pictures below?
From this:
To this:
If this is the case I doubt that you'll have much success.
First, I believe they have different connections as the analog has multiple lights built in. The digital one is just a tablet.
Second, even the binnacles (twin tube) are different. If you take a closer look the bottom of the analog one curves downwards following the bottom of the the meters while the bottom of the digital one is completely flat. So you'd have to change part of the dashboard as well.
Anyway, let us know how it works out as I'm looking to do the exact opposite. Turns out I like analog more...

I found a couple of websites.... 2 places in Singapur they do it.
it seems it's plug & play and change of "coding", but not clear what means that "coding". it's software update from mercedes? what?. The guys of TGMac, they say 4500€..... As far as I know the part it's around 1.000-1400€ aprox.
it seems there are some different part numbers, no idea differences. Just the screen references I found are, A2059004842, A2059008742 and A2059009545. What are the differences, no idea... but for sure and i thinks it's just software the menus are different between AMG and non-AMG versions. Then there is the plastic frame it's the part number A2055404137
I asked several of them, as the daler f..... up my order and it doesn't come with the digital cluster. Mercedes says that right now the "OEM" retrofit with MB warranty is not available, in a 2018/2019 models. For instance MB dealer can retrofit Comand with no issues.
Hi, is there any further information on a Facelift W205 Digital Dash to pre-facelift retrofit?
I have yet to find a successful conversion.
But I did find this:
Which looks promising, While not a full updated dash, it is indeed all display:
It seems to be a W222 digital dash with a Facelift W205 bezel.

I can confirm there is! Buy the same year instrument cluster and it's pretty much plug and play. The new cluster will have to be coded to the car (most dealers won't do it). You can PM for details.
sorry to dig up an old thread but I am currently in process of retrofitting digital cluster on my 2019 C43.
I purchased a new digital cluster from a MB dealer matching the part number I got from a similar C43 but apparently the wiring is no where close to being "Plug and Play".
Plug doesn't even look close. see pictures for comparison. I found part number for he correct plug (blue color). obviously have to to convert existing plug (white/grey) to new plug (blue) but no idea on the wiring.
There are few Chinese/Singapore shops who have done this but they are not going to share that despite them claiming this would be a plug and play. Not sure they understand the true meaning of "plug and play". it's Plug "after hacking the wires" and Play 'after getting the xentry and c4/c5 multiplexor to code the module'.
I can't return the cluster now (no return accepted on electrical part). If I knew that I would need such wiring instruction, I would have purchased directly from these shops... but too late now. Help. I would even be willing to pay for the wiring instruction! Plug for digital cluster
I see the difference, now. So you have 2 options:
- you need to repin old cables into new one
- or find adpater, some one will create it for you to be plug and play (I know they exist on vw, most probably not a lot of people making modification so nobody started with production yet)
would be handy if someone will share electrical single line diagram of old and new here

I would say, they gave you so high price because for cluster to be fully operational you need also comand, which means new radio plus display to be upgraded.
I wanted to ask what is the part number you bought

Plug for analog cluster
You need one of these bro - not cheap either.
It plugs into your old dash harness and into the new digital dash and judging from this plug it connects to the HU which means it needs the updated NTG5.5 to allow some functions to work.
Strange this screen would be plug and play without any coding or nothing... Just cutting some plastic
Also wonder how much the display actually costs and if you can change the looks like with the real digital cluster
I suspect the Chinese will have a $1000 plug and play solution for the 2015+ W205 in 2021.
Another option could be using a flat cluster display and placing it directly in front of the current cluster with a special mount. (For that 2021 S Class look)
Although that would clash with the w205 center console display.
