Prepaid maintenance quote for 40k, 50k, and 60k
Through Cassandra who comes highly recommended on here I’ve been quoted for my 2016 C300 fully loaded sport:
$1280 for service at 40k and 50k
$1710 for service at 40, 50, and 60
As a comparison my local Mercedes dealership quoted me $3600 for all three.
Decent? Should I stick with the first two services since you never know what happens (maybe I want to sell the car after a couple of years).
Also the 40k is right around the corner.. car is at 37k. Also as a last point, local dealership is saying transmission flush happens at 60k “no need to do it before that”.. true?

Well,, actually Prepaid Service 2yr/20K "should be" $1,130 and 3yrs/30K "should be" $1,560 which is Mercedes Retail - anything above that is either "over charge" or required state/local taxes - you should be clear from your quoting dealer on that.
You are in a position to get Max Benefit from Prepaid Maintenance - and you should have clear understanding what the 2yr/20K and 3yrs/30K will cover for you.
If you Buy 3yr/30K - and decide to trade in with 3rd/30K prepaid left unused - if you trade in with a MB dealer than remaning open service is worth $$ to that MB dealer since they can charge service to thjat rather than paying for that service out of the dealer's pocket.
You are in a position to get Max Benefit from Prepaid Maintenance - and you should have clear understanding what the 2yr/20K and 3yrs/30K will cover for you.

As long as you buy Prepaid Service BEFORE service checkin - you are OK - same cost when you buy the car as buying Prepaid Maintenance later - as long as Pirice doesn't go up following Sept (which happened this past year)

at least on the C400, its all just oil changes, at 60k its a brake fluid flush and spark plugs
Any mechanic can do the spark plugs on this car. The plugs are only $15-20 each and come pre-gapped from Mercedes and require no special tools.

The C400 doesn't have to get brake flush at B or every 2 years? The brake flush is what makes an oil change visit so expensive.
