Anyone else Modding the c300 w205?

Hey everyone, I’m new here bought my first Mercedes 8 months ago and absolutely love it. It was meant to be a company vehicle for my business so I didn’t look for many options just gas mileage. However I started doing some research into performance parts for the car and sorta got the bug.

I have installed:
FTP charge pipe
Weistec down pipe
My own custom exhaust
AEM Methanol injection
JB4 blue tooth on level 7 tune
H&R Springs

Installing this next week or the following
turbokits.com big turbo upgrade and full dyno tune.

once I finish the performance mods I’ll be moving on to looks and other features I wish I had.

one of them is the push button start has anyone retro fit this option?

I have been wanting to do just about every upgrade that you have but I dont want to void my remaining warranty. How does your car feel now with all of those mods? Is it a big improvement?

Thanks Bob!

Hey Michael,

The performance mods were totally worth it. The car is very quick now. I have not dynoed the car as of yet but from the cars I have raced and beat. The crew I run with are guessing around 350-400hp.

We are hoping to push 550-600hp with the big turbo and tune. I’m running the smallest injector on my methanol kit so I have room to push more boost, when I add the larger injectors.

The idea is to hit our target number. See if she is reliable and start building a second engine/trans to handle even more power.

I am hoping to have the fastest c300 in the US.

Video below was film somewhere in Mexico, against a 335i. Tires were cold so my launch was slow to avoid wheel spin. I have another video of me racing a twin turbo vet. I’ll try to get it uploaded the file size was too big. I pull the Vet till about 80 after which he blows my doors off but still a fun race.

I have the same goal as you for my C300. I haven’t started my performance mods yet but I’m definitely staying tuned to your progress. Especially with the turbo kit.

nice setup! have you done any 0-100 (or 0-60) runs yet?
would be good if you might want to place your meth injection post intercooler.

My meth injection point is just fine where it is, it keeps my intercooler ice cold. My intake air temps are 32 degrees F at 107 degrees F OAT. Not to mention there is not a good place to put it after the intercooler. The methanol is atomized in the compressed air just fine.

I’ll up load draggy times when I get a dry day. I can beat a camaro SS with a race cam and tune 0-60. So guessing mid 4s. I’ll know more soon.

Waiting on the tune files right now they have my maps so we shall see.

Cool! its really exciting to see the few W205 owners who are willing to go the performance route and explore the limits (so long the wallet is deep enough).
Have done a boost leak test over 28 psi, with no leaks. These pics shows proper threaded bungs, both for the throttle spacer and also the fitment to the plastic ends of the intercooler (there are known plastic methanol nozzle holders to fit).
Am sure you will have fun with Turbokit's hybrid turbo. i had mine from early 2018, its been passed on to another W205 since, and still working strong.

Unfortunately i can't help with the push start button retro fit. Not my area of expertise.

and, thanks for the edit.

I’m just sick that I have to drill into that plastic. Where do you get the fittings? I’m not sure my AEM kit will work, it’s much longer.

Run a search for methanol nozzle mounts, you should be able to find metal and plastic ones. here's 2 links below for reference.

Here's a link to a 90deg angle for AEM checkvalve/nozzle fitment: https://store.034motorsport.com/wate...apter-90d.html

Or, you can think about mixing with other brands like ProMeth, Snow, BMS, Devils' own. I like Devil's Own nozzles; very fine atomisation and spray pattern and they have more flowrate choices. And i am using a BMS 2 Gallon low profile tank which i store in the "spare tire" compartment.

Yeah show us a 60-130. 0-60 data isn't all that useful

A concern I came across today when talking with the crew I run with. Most of these guys are running gen 3 RX7s with air to air intercoolers. When they upgrade turbos and run high boost levels they have to increase the size of the intercooler they are running. There is not much room in that engine bay not to mention the nightmare it would be to upgrade the stock intercooler on the c300. Do you by any chance know it’s flow rate?

yikes, not sure. You MIGHT be able to use an IC from a CLA45 AMG though. Not sure how much of the platform it shares with the C300 but it is MB's turbo 4 platform.

You could also add a secondary water to air intercooler.
