Maybe the battery reset option is only available with the engine off?

I notice in the older post's photo the battery voltage showing in the upper right corner is 11.8v, meaning that most likely the key is on but the engine is not running. In your photo the voltage is showing as 13.8v, which most likely tells me that you have the engine running.

Tried it. No change.

Hey mate, did you ever find it? I tried to find it for my W166 and it showed up on the simulation mode but not when I connected Xentry to the car. That and the demo mode actuation disappears.
EDIT: I think it may not be there because of the build year. From what I can tell, 2016 vehicles and up require this reset procedure in Xentry whereas pre 2016 vehicles do not. In WIS it even states "as of model year 2016" for the confirm battery change in SAM control unit (N10) step of replacing the battery.

How to tell in WIS if battery reset is needed?
I realize that I'm in the wrong forum for my model (2015 x156 GLA 250), but the discussion itself is relevant for me. I have been on what might be a wild goose chase, trying to find a scanner that can reset the BMS since I replaced my battery last month. I purchased the Autophixx 7700 (2023 Elite version, specifically for MB) because it specifically was advertised to do battery resets. However, when I tried to do it for my car I got a message that it wasn't available for my model. I was annoyed, thinking that the thing was misrepresented in its advertising. However, some of what you're all saying here makes me think that maybe the 2015 didn't have a BMS? I downloaded a cheap version of the WIS from some server somewhere (probably Russian hackers) and never figured out how to use it right. How can I tell if the step to reset is even in the instructions for battery replacement for my car?
Thanks in advance!

any update on what year onwards W205 need Battery Control Module to register your replacement battery? FCP euro did not mention it nor did some British DIY ers who even phoned the dealers who said no need.
