Pandemic Comand Screen problem? 2019 C300 4matic

For the last 6 months have been in semi-lockdown because of the pandemic. Used car initially once every 2 weeks for grocery, then when it becomes better , once or twice per week for grocery shopping mainly.Yesterday had the famous blank Comand Screen. Backup camera image not seen but radio still works. Phoned MercedesMe,not much help. Went to service advisor as appointment not available from MercedesMe for > 3 weeks. to see if I forgot to press some switch. Sevice advisor tried all switches on dashboard and central console. and checked the fuses.Nothing wrong with the fuses.Restarted car , still blank screen. .Booked 1 month away appointment.Drove home
However this morning screen came back on when I started the car!!! working like normal now.Took it for a long drive.
I researched this and other forums. This seems to be a common problem..I dont think I accidently turned it off as I tried every button including the on/off button on right side of central console to try to turn it back on.Nothing happened and the service advisor also checked..
Do you guys think it happened cos of
1. Battery low charge therefore onboard computer turned off the screen to conserve energy
2.Car was being updated slowly via satellite therefore screen blank
3 other problems
Thanks for your opinion and experiences in advance.

I have a 2019 C63S coupe and I'm trying to remember, but I don't think I've had the COMAND screen go blank on me. I've had CarPlay go blank on me a couple of times, but that was resolved by unplugging the phone again and or killing apps. I think it sometimes happens after an iOS or app update. If the battery gets low you should be getting alerts from the Mercedes Me connect app and in your email. I've gotten those a few times when the car was in the shop and the battery drained quicker, but those alerts come relatively early before major things start turning off to preserve enough of a charge to start the engine. Background updates also don't turn off the screen. The only OTA updates so far are map updates. They haven't pushed out an OTA software update for COMAND yet. I do drive my car on most days. At the beginning of the lockdown I was only driving it a couple of times a week, but I've been driving it regularly for quite a while now, but as said, unless you start getting critical battery alerts on your phone all should be fine. In case you are not aware, you can activate a standby mode to preserve the battery, but that's only necessary if you are not gonna drive it for a few weeks. It will turn off the telematics and Internet connection, so that the battery doesn't drain. I do this when I go on vacation for at least a couple of weeks. You won't get any alerts and can't check the status of the car while standby mode is active.

As far as I know you press and hold the button just like with modern computers if they hang. I believe in the regular C Class there's a dedicated button, and in AMGs you have to push and hold the volume button, because the exhaust button replaces the on/off button.

Check the wiring loom that runs around the boot/trunk hinge, not much slack in it and I have found 4 broken wires in mine, one to power the camera door, one for a number plate light and another for the boot/trunk opening.
