Good afternoon. I have a car w205 2016. (My old one) I noticed that the radio started to work badly, and I wanted to change something in my car for a long time. I began to look and understood that the best way to put a good android stereo. I started to look around on the internet. Found a few good options. Wanted to know if you may have installed something similar? I see here some people instaled unit from Aliex. Can you tell me whats the defferens here? What should I ask before buying one? Is there maybe any specifics? 🤔 find some photo the central console like my.

hi guys! was looking through this thread an love the screen, I installed one in my BMW years ago and now have the C300 which I am disappointed is not a touch sc been so want to get the DMP 12.3" to install and had a few questions
1. can you use the existing navigation antenna and just switch the wire over to the Android device?
2. can I listen to XM on the MB side but still be on the android side for CarPlay and so on?
3. does the rear camera AND the 360 degree view show up? a lot of the videos I see just show the rear cam but not dual screen with the rear and 360 like the c300 has now
4. how do I know if I have the NTG 5.0/5.1 or the NTG 5.5 (only for w205 facelift 2019 or above)? any pics I have seen to compare them do not relate to my interior
I think that is it for now, from what I have been researching, the DMP comes up the most so figured that's my best bet

Those would be questions for DMP.
The original screen in this thread was from Navifly and it may not have the same software, features or ui as the DMP screens.
Most of these screens are similar, but it's not gauranteed they are exactly the same. Also, that original screen can be considered old as of today and newer versions might have faster cpus, more ram and storage, improved specs and features.

I love having apple CarPlay in my car now and it sucks it is not touch screen, I wish we could just get a nice touch screen overlay or something to use with the existing screen being it already has everything I need except touch
Does this also fit for the RHD version? I have a RHD and ordered with carlife-mall.net and they have a similar bracket (not 3D printed though) and claim it only fits for the LHD version. Is this correct? Is there a difference in screen angle etc.? I always thought the screen would sit there just straight.

Sirius XM has an IOS app that is CarPlay enabled which has all stations and additional app specific stations. IHeartRadio has an app that is CarPlay enabled and they have a significant number of FM stations in most markets. You can use either of those in Carplay at the same time as Waze. There may be other apps that allow you to listen to FM stations.

Do later model cars with OEM CarPlay also have the same limitation with Comand radio while using CarPlay Waze or is this just an aftermarket limitation?
are the small printed screws just used as a guide as you slide the mount in? I printed all the pieces, came out great, just trying to figure out the point in the screw. thank you!

Yes, the screws slide in the bracket hole for a better fit.
I got my new screen from DMP Car Design (12.3" version) and have a few weird issues im curious if anyone else has seen
1. i am listening XM on the OEM side, if i touch the android to switch over to the android side, my XM station changes, this also happens if i backup, the camera comes on, then i go to drive, the camera goes off and my XM station changes again
2. I have it set to auto switch the AUX audio but it never does, i have to hit "media" button on the car for it to then go back to the OEM screen, and then tap the screen to get back to Android to play music from android side
3. Cant activate the phonelink for apple car play. It worked at first, i did a factory reset hoping it would fix some issues but now phonelink wants me to activate it which is not working

The AUX switching feature is programbble. It appears to be selecting preset menu options when you go back and forth between Android and oem screens.
Set both to 0 in Aux Position settings and see if the XM changes when you switch. The screen may also require a reboot after switching position settings. (I dont use Android side sound)
thank you, i have it set to the correct settings, its set as position 5 in mercedes favorites and in the Android settings i went to the system settings auc position and set to 5 also. Also tried both at "0" and still had issues with the channels changing automatically.

Hi i have a problem has anybody come across this. When I put my car in reverse, the reverse camera does not show on the android-OS but it does show when I open the NTG-OS. Any solutions?
I tried that didn't work. upon searching the net i saw something that said
If it is a manual car, you need to connect the reversing detection wire.
There is an option, either in settings or factory settings that lets you pick automatic or manual gear detection, play around with that setting, one of them should work.
