Looking forward to what you think about it once it's installed. I really really want to have android auto, haven't felt like pulling the trigger on an android screen yet for a few reasons. But I'm still considering it.

Biggest question really is it too big in the 12.5 ? and does it impede view in any way from a normal driving angle ?
Iv even made up some cardboard templates but cant work out how high/low it sits compared to standard screen..
Hoping it sits lower toward the vents to take up the bulk of the size increase.

Can anyone tell me why they included an external mic (#6) and speaker (#18)? I assumed all audio out and mic in functions would through the MB radio. Do the 10 inch displays have those?

I thought so too, but I think I remember the older models had the mic for the carplay commands and it was recommended to install in the drivers side pillar. No idea about the speaker they packaged with it though. I wish they could just eliminate the need for an extra microphone altogether.
Just a hopeful guess but, maybe when you're not running in ntg mode then the extra microphone is needed, else it uses the car mic.

Well, I also have the 12.5" screen and I must say it's the lack of information for this screen. Had a lot of trouble installing it. after 2 days I've managed it and everything worked. But then in the evening when I wanted to show it to someone it started with a really weird screen lik ihalf of it was is 4 colors. So I shut down the car and restarted it and then it was back again. The next morning it did it again with this weird screen. I try to reach out to the seller but of course it is really hard communicating like they don't have a clue what you are saying. there's a small hole on the left to restart the system. after that it was normal again.
But then after 4 days something really strange happened. I started the car and put it in reverse. But no camaera'. then I looked at the other data from the car but no radio no BT no sound. screen kept black. So I told the manufacturer but they couldn't help. Actually nothing helped and after 2 day's i decided to remove the screen. put the old one back and worked. After a week communicating with no effort from the supplier i tried to install the screen again. And guess what it worked again. So i drove around for 2 months and now i wanted to install a camera. as soon as i opened everything and closed it again suddenly the same **** appears. No car data everything black. So you really cannot use the system cause there's no sound. The screen itself is working but all the car feautures are gone. I assume it is coming from the LVDS connection but i'm not sure. I'm now in the process of disable the screen again.

there is a setting somewhere in the menu that dictates the size of the screen in relation to the size of the display.
Iv seen it in the install videos - maybe select your correct model and try those settings to correctly fill screen ?
its like a number from 1-12 or something.
The Analog to USB box sound quality is fine, not sure why people where complaining.
Also, to enable Auto AUX switching you have to find the USB input that says "USB AUX". Then press the favorites button and save it. Take note of the position in the favorites.
Then go to AUX switching in the menu and input the position number. The only downside is it doesn't auto switch back.
Example, if you were listening to Bluetooth audio on the "NTG Menu" side and then switched to Music on the android side, it will auto switch to USB AUX. But if you go back to the "NTG Menu" it remains on USB AUX.
Not sure what this extra Speaker is for, no sounds come out of it.
Also, my touch pad does not work with the screen. Not sure if that's expected.
