One final (hopefully) question - does the built-in reversing camera all work OK ? I presume this is handled via cable 12 / 13 ?
My car came with a factory reverse cam installed.

The 12 inch display will switch automatically to NTG reverse cam view whenever you shift to R. No extra wiring needed.

None so far, but i get lots of people driving side by side with me to see whats on my huge screen. (Pet peeve)

Oh, when i return to ntg mode it always has the word media selected in the top menu. Annoying. I want it focused on center content.

I have actually changed focus to my DSP project right now but will post if i notice any issues. I might need to get a 4g sim soon.

There is a 2.2.6 firmware update in the forums but i am letting the pros test it out first. Mine is v2.0.0

Found one minor issue.

When the car is OFF, you can press the power button in the center console and the head unit and OEM display will turn ON.

Well the head unit turns ON (I can hear the fan spin) but the 12 inch screen remains OFF.

I am thinking one of those extra wires may need to be connected to allow this to work when the car is OFF?

Maybe #11 ACC IN?

It's not a big deal to me because I rarely use that feature.

Had a serious heart attack today.

I disconnected my battery negative for 35 minutes and when i recconected it, the screen wouldn't shut off.

Engine off, door open, screen still on. Did a restart, screen still on. Nothing worked.

Finally, i did a reset by pushing a paper clip in the top hole on the left side.

It worked!

What was the Aliexpress store name that you purchased this unit from? It seems like there are a few variants..

@benzdude does your steering wheel buttons, touchpad and dial work with the screen?

I am on the fence, don’t want to loose the ability to control just for the sake of screen

Steering wheel, touchpad and control knob all work as before in NTG mode.

The control knob works on the Android side. The touchpad doesn't. Not sure if it's supposed to or just needs drivers.

Hello, I just bought the Navifly 12 inch screen, I have several questions. I have not received it yet. First of all sorry for my English I am French, I am from Paris. Regarding the screen is it possible to remove the bluray coating? I saw in the thread but I did not quite understand. Is the screen's bluray coating just a protector?

In Android mode, is the 360 camera display instantaneous? Or is there a waiting time?

Do you have problems with the gps antenna provided? Or does it work very well? No untimely disconnection?

Thank you for your help

On my screen the "BLU RAY" was just a glued on hard screen protector. (as shown)

It also comes with a removable thin clear screen protector applied in the box.

Great, I don't want bluray. I ordered from a Navifly store. So I think I will receive the same as you. I can not access the first link must be registered. Are you fully satisfied with it since installation?

Thank you

Hey Benzdude,

Just ordered the same size as yours from the same shop, I had a tesla style android screen in my Range Rover that I customised heavily, but I have a couple of questions the seller couldn't answer if you don't mind?

Are you able to assign the music button to another app like Spotify?

If you install a sim, can it become a hotspot for other devices to connect too?

Thanks.

Just installed the same from Navifly. Everything works ok so far. I need help with the Aux 3.5mm connection though. I can't find the setting to get sound from Aux devices let's say I connect my phone straight to 3.5mm Aux or any other Aux device. Can anyone help. Will definitely have more questions soon.

I am not sure I understand your question. I only use the AUX out with USB box into my MB radio.

You best bet is to ask in the discord group. There are many helpful experts there.

I have joined discord but how do I find this group?
What I meant is that the display comes with AUX Left and Aux Right RCA cables. I have connected my RCA to 3.5mm Aux and put it under the armrest along with the rest cables so I have the option to plug in Aux devices. These can be portable mp3 players ipods or even the phone connecting via the headphone jack. Everything works ok I also connected display to have sound through the USB-Aux box that they include. It's clear no distortion or humming noises however the base lower frequencies are seriously lacking as compared to my OEM Bluetooth connection. Wondering if there is a way to connect a USB Dac amplifier so we can get much better audio from the screen.
