Hello, I purchased a 2021 C300 4Matic that has the cheap calipers. I want to purchase aftermarket wheels but need to upgrade the calipers first.
Can I purchase used calipers from previous years? I don't want/need $4000 Brembos. Any tips or info is appreciated!

yes you actually can..... you can look at the C450/C43 brakes but you will need to check that your new wheel offset can fit.

Basically you're installing the 2020 sport brakes so you can use the 18 or 19 inch wheels that came stock with the sport packages and C43.

I’ve been considering doing this “mod” it’s basically stock “Brembo” brakes, if I do get a set of either c43/c400/c450 same thing, is it a plug and play or do I need a bracket? My wheels are 19x8.5 +35 square set up, should clear. Thanks!

its a direct plug and play with the c43/c450 brakes. Only with the C63 brakes, you will need custom brackets.

Rotors look the same, and the C43 and C300 sport calipers are the same as far as I know. Get the VIN of a 2020 C43 and C300 sport and have a dealership confirm that for you.

The calipers and the rotors are not the same. You will need the full set (calipers, pads, rotors) from the C43 to fit. The C43 rotors are 360mm, larger than the C300 sport.

I have a 2021 C300 AMG LINE with 18” 5-spokes which comes with the cheap looking brakes. I was able to find a cheap set of 2020 C300 AMG line package calipers which are 4 pot.

Someone here mentioned that the C43 uses 360mm rotors. I think the ‘21 C300 uses 330mm, but the ‘20 C300 AMG LINE uses slotted 342mm.

I’m going to buy the Mercedes genuine slotted 342mm rotors and pads, but do I need anything else?? It should be plug and play right?

For anyone looking to run the larger 360mm front rotors, I have a set of front calipers for sale that will bolt up to all W205 (except the C63) front caliper brackets and work with the 360mm rotors

Beyond the calipers, you would need new front 360mm rotors and pads for a C43.

FYI: my Ebay price is my lowest price, as I'm selling them for much less than what I paid for them myself.
