C450 AMG Wheels Help -- PLEASE HELP

Hi ,

I have a C450 AMG 2016 and Front Wheels are 18X7.5 and offset 33 and Rear are 18X8.5 and offset 49. My front two wheels cracked. I don't want to buy Mercedes Wheels as they are knows to crack and are very expensive.

1. Which aftermarket brand will you suggest ?
2. What are my wheels options in terms of measurements? I am told that my front can be 18X8.5 and Rear can be 18X9.5 ? Is that true ? Please tell me if there is a flexibility of altering measurements without impacting the car performance ?

Thanks a ton .

I suggest you first take a look at the thread C450/C43 Wheel Fitment Guide and see if you find something useful. (700+ posts...)

MB2016 C450 After MAarket Wheels

Here is my experience so far. Criteria: 19 inch, 5x112 , 8.5 fronts, 9.5 rear, 10 spoke rim in black, concave if possible, trying to achieve a "more aggressive look", NO spacers, all season tire. Car is used for daily driving no race tracks.

Situation: 3 cracked rims. It is a hassle to find after market rims. I spent countless hours researching this topic.

First I tried Niche Gamma m190, installer assured me they would fit, they did not clear calipers, got my money back, I will go back to installer for my other cars, but I lost two days. They said that the Niche Missano would fit but I was not satisfied with look.

Avent Garde m520r, AG assured me that a +30 front +45 rear would fit, problem is they are on back order in my color.

Vorsteiner v-ff107, +30 fronts, +46 rear. Vorsteiner engineers assured fit with front 225/30/19 tire, 265/35/19 rear. Issue, besides price, is I was worried about the low profile tire in front. Wanted slightly more height in tire to protect from potholes here in northeast.

Ended up ordering Vossen CV10 satin black, +30 front tire 235/35/19, rear 265/35/19. Let you know in two weeks how it works out. I know the Vossen are a high priced cast rim and I have heard some suggest spending another 1-2K on used forged rims is much better option but I do not have 1-2K more and I am worried about fitment issues with any used wheel. Plus I am exhausted looking for rims that will fit his unicorn, so I rationalized getting the Vossen CV10s which are flat in front, concave rear.

I too was not buying the same rims from dealer with three cracked. My understanding is that there was/is a class action lawsuit on MB because of crack issues with these rims.

Best of luck, update us if u make progress.

Wheels (again)

Of course you will first get rid of the runflat tires (if you have them) and switch to Michelin or Conti non-runflats, right. Then the wheel fitment guide mentioned above is great but does require a bit of knowledge. Finally, if you want a spare to go with the non-runflats, check out ModernSpare (in the US)
