Hi! I recently bought myself a w205 avantgarde sedan but i’m not 100% satisfied with the look. So my question is if its possible to remove the chrome trim ”stripes” on the doors and rear. Are they attached with clips or just doublesided 3M? I’ve attached pics to make it easier.
So much chrome on this car. You definitely need to remove these chrome strips. I dont think 3M. Wether 3M or clips they must be removed. Make sure you don't damage your paint. Also you need to work on this diffuser and fake exhaust tips. Wats with the chrome strips on the air vents? Can you remove them? Why dont u sell it and get an AMG line you wont see these strips at all and the look is much more sporty. The beauty about AMG line is the look of it and the possibility to easily install any C43 item on it. That is what I did.

I got the car for a extremely low price. I was thinking of adding black rims, tint the windows, repaint the stripes to the same color of the car and chrome delete everything around the windows.

That is a good start. Also think of the following:
1. Change the double blade grill to diamond grill.
2. Change the front lip to double black matt lip or just dechrome it.
3. Install black covers for the mirrors instead of the existing white covers.
4. Install black rear spoiler.
5. Dechrome the fake exhaust tips.
As rule the less chrome the better. Also too much white the car will look like a wedding car so you need to add black parts here and there. The black and white combination gives a good contrast. Have a look bellow: Before After Before Daimond Grill and black front lip Black mirror covers
