Mercedes c300 2019 - common issues?
Hi everyone,
New to this forum. Recently totaled my car and looking for a new one. Shortlisted to Audi A4 2018 vs MB c300 2019. Both around 30000 miles used with some warranty left. Hoping to know what are issues with the c300 in your ownership experience? I drive 80 miles a day, so put on about 20000 miles a year. Happy to pay for maintenance for a good car but any unprecedented major repairs you have noticed? I had a Mazda 3 before which was low maintenance but wouldn’t say it was fun. Thank you in advance.

Fun and reliable car. Combines luxury and sports at the same time specialy if its an AMG line. Mine is a 2015 thank God no issues so far. Always serviced for its A and B services at my dealer. No aftermarket spare parts. I noticed some guys mainly US built w205 complained about piston failure. I am sure this issue was sorted out for 2019 models. Other than that welcome to MB world.

I have a 2019, leased it, in year 2 and at about 11k miles. Haven't done a thing except an oil change. Covid means no commute/low miles....also means I'm probably going to buy this next year for the 26k residual value my contract states. I'm sure my MB dealer is going to want it back with the low miles and the auto inventory issues these days. Not sure how that works when I get to year 3/turn in time. I do like the car. I came from a Jaguar XF which was bigger, heavier and way more get up and go, but it started breaking down at 50k. My C300 is very nimble, light, quick and fun to drive. Definitely not for 4 adults though.....way too small in the back seat.

Covid put a wrench in that as my company is work from home....still. Now I'll have a 3 year old car with 15k miles that will be worth MUCH more than it was going to be and I win. I'll just buy it at the end of my lease, with my lease contract price fixed and immediately put it up for sale, with a full year left on the warranty.

This was my first lease ever and I identified based on my commute that 30k miles over 3 years would be perfect. I leased because it seems the high end cars cost way too much to service when they get old, my jag!

I don’t understand this thinking that you need to lease because you don’t want keep the car. I buy and don’t keep the cars.
People who have leases coming do now have lucked out. That’s not usually the case.
You still paid for 15,000 miles you didn’t use.
i have a '18 c300 and really the only issue i've ever had is with the wipers, when it rains they constantly jet and jag across the windshield its a common problem for the c300 apparently too, a slight fix is buying a pair of bosch wipers for them, its a proprietary connector so either oem or the bosch are your options. had a mech look into the wiper motors themselves and he advised me to take it in to get changed and hopefully that would be under warranty. Just remembered too, if you're a person who likes his sunroof open everyday or so eventually mine got detached from the track and i also had to take that in but it was covered by my warranty, just things to be cautious about, hope it helps!
