Auxiliary Battery Malfunction but Auto Stop/Start still works
I'm getting an auxiliary battery malfunction message that pops up on my screen every 10 seconds, at first it was red now it's just white lettering. My auto stop/start function still works fine. I read this auxiliary battery (or capacitor in this cars case) is mainly meant for the stop/start function, so could this mean it's something other than the auxiliary battery? Maybe main battery? My battery was tested 3 months ago and passed. Also if it ends up being the capacitor will this be covered under my extended warranty?

Very common issue. It happened to mine i changed my Auxiliary battery at my dealer and this message disappeared. I recommend you do the same. I am not sure if it is covered or not under your extended warranty.

Did your auto stop/start stop functioning or was it still working while this message was on?

There may be different points of failure within the auxiliary battery that exhibits different behaviors?
When mine went bad, I got the Auxiliary Battery Malfunction error messages and my Eco stop/start stopped working also.
It was replaced under warranty at a MB dealer. Error messages went away and Eco stop/start started working again.
