Thanks brother. IMO, a C400 is a superior car and far from boring! Just sayin'
Superior in what? Few extra horsepower? Looks are superior over anything. That is why I would choose your car over a C400. I need your car with Rayban sunglasses and open panoramic sunroof on a sunny day in Beirut. Believe me all the chiks would wanna go cruising with me. This is when I start choosing the lucky one to go for a ride with me 😎

Thanks! I agree, the stock brakes look very wimpy with larger wheel diameters. It's on my long list, to swap brakes from a C43.
Yeah, I care about power, but this car is more of a cruiser and corner carver for me (when I can find some curves in Florida, lol). Right now, it has sufficient power for my use. I have an AMR Stage 1 tune, a few other small tweaks, and looking towards a larger hairdryer, downpipe, custom free-flow (but quiet) exhaust, etc. later... but not a priority. What puts it into perspective for me is my C300 can currently lay down mid-high 14's in the 1/4 mile, which is quicker than my old '72 SS Chevelle with a built-up small block and my old '00 Pontiac GTP (supercharged), so I'm okay for now. It's funny how modern "average" sedans are quicker than the old USA muscle car legends. :p
The C43 brakes (front and rear) would be a straight swap and very easy!

I thought the rotor size's were different?? Or am I completely wrong?
Yes, you are correct. When I say swapping, I mean the calipers, bracket(s), rotors, and "I think" the tail-end (caliper end) of the brake lines. But everything should bolt onto my chassis without modification or extra custom parts. My only concern is I haven't verified if the master cylinder in my C300 has the proper pressure and flow to match that from a C43. I think it's fine, but that part is unknown to me, so far.
Depending on finding a used set that's not too overpriced, this may be coming after I get the front bumper back from body/paint and installed... not sure yet.

Definitely interested on how this turns out!!! Literally only keeping my eyes on this thread hah. You got all the exterior mods going while I've been focusing in on all my entire mods (Wireless Charger, LED LightBar in the Trunk, Ambient Lighting, Ambient LED AirVents (Front/Rear), Ambient Lights on back of Drive/Passenger seats).
Looking into a Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel and possibly adding a Sub in the trunk.
Got H&R Springs sitting in the garage waiting to get installed. Side Skirts(non AMG) and front lip(non AMG) to install as well. And lastly to PowerCoat the wheels gloss black.

Cool! Man, if you're watching this thread, you're gonna get bored real quick, LOL! This is a slow process here... I have more parts than I time to do the work.
I'm digging your plan for your car. The springs will make a huge difference in the looks and handling, for sure. I look forward to seeing it whenever you get them in.

the C300 master cylinder pump has good pressure to take the C43 and even the C63 brake kits (front and back).
C43 brakes are a direct bolt on, while the C63 requires a custom bracket to convert to a top bolt setup for the front, and requires the e-brake cable from the 63 for the rear.
i have done the C43 conversion for my friend and for myself the C63.

Awesome, thank you very much for this info! This is very helpful to me. I've made the decision I'm doing this. Keeping my eyes out now for some good C43 calipers at a decent price. I'll go new for the rotors.
Beautiful car, BTW. Nice stance and looks great with the bigger brakes.
I must say, the yellow curb is triggering my OCD... watch out! LOL
A rare thing happened the other day... someone else was driving my car, so I took the opportunity to snag some crappy cell phone video while I was driving another car. :p
It is the first time I've seen my car rolling and I am very happy with the stance! It's sitting just how I envisioned I wanted it. This makes me happy, so I'm sharing for anyone else into this stuff and is as car-crazy as I am.

yes the curb! Didn’t help when i had the mudflaps too!!
Had fun with my C, had custom intake, custom oil catch cans (in my opinion a must for performance modders), and custom turbo setup…
i have recently dekitted my ride and sold off my C, and i have a 2019 CLS450 now as my next daily and project.
but will continue to watch your space, if there is anything i can help for performance just give me a shout out.
by the way for the C43 brake pads, i’d recommend the Powerstop Z16 ceramic pads. Very good price, brakes well and very little brake dust (so less time washing the wheels and more time admiring how clean they are.. lol)

Nice! I'm sure you are enjoying the CLS450! Very cool. Thanks again for your help! I needed a good pad recommendation and definitely need a low dust pad. Sweet.
I know this isn't part of my body style conversion, but I went ahead and bought two C43 front calipers off a 2020 C43. So the brake project begins!!! (I'm blaming you, dagger22, LOL!)
