I'll see if it's still around here and snap a few more. This is a MB reps car.

Correct. This is a demo car for a MB rep.

Thank goodness these batteries aren't lithium-ion ones but I think the over discharge of AGM batteries will harm it too.

There are numerous 12V battery issues for newly delivered W223 and face-lift W213 posted on this forum for example and the battery was sometimes discharged to the point that a simple charge wasn't able to fix it, these issues on top of the 48V battery issue.

If not trickle charge, the very least they should put the vehicles in standby mode when it is en route to North America.

Alternatively, they should disconnect the battery (probably the worse method though).
Fortunately there aren't any cars sitting around for weeks, and definitely not months to drain their batteries. They do ship in transport mode which is limiting the electrical draw on the battery.

Is china making star grilles for W205 yet?

Also, a center dash screen delete using trim and make an android screen center console.

That is good to hear, thanks for confirming. Curious, do you know more about this transport mode and if it saves more battery than standby mode, do you know how it is enabled and how it is achieved like what does it do?

To be honest, I do not. I've only seen cars taken out of transport mode one or two times. Our lot tech handles all of that. As far as battery saving, I don't know exactly the differences it does, just that it only enables minimal features on the car.

I see, I am guessing they use Xentry to enable it as well.

Not 100% sure but I believe it restricts speed to around 15-20mph, restricts infotainment usage, only locks/unlocks driver door, etc. Pretty much a lot of the electronics are turned off. To disable it there is a code involving the turn signals and four way flashers.

Although different class, I am wondering how much closer is the C-Class' comfort compared to the current gen E-Class. I understand C is a C and E is a E but since I kept hearing that the C-Class ride quality is better than the outgoing model I am curious how much closer it got to compared to the W213, ignoring other things like size and massage. Although I heard C-Class gets massage now? Anyone have some info please do share.

I should know that answer for sure but humbly have to admit I do not. When configuring a C-Class in Netstar there is no option for massage seats on any trim level.

No worries at all, please do share the experience with us when you get a chance to compare the ride comfort on similar wheels and tires and trim so amg line E and amg line C or standard E and standard C. Very curious. I've been thinking of getting an E to replace my C but I don't need the extra length of an E and I want a smaller vehicle, the W206 fits the bill if it is closer in ride comfort to the outgoing E. I don't expect it to be better ride comfort than E for obvious reasons but I am hoping it is at least closer when it comes to W205 to W213 and W206 to W213.

As for massage seats for the C, perhaps it is still exclusively for Europe for now I guess. Thanks for confirming.

Unfortunately this one is already gone, the rep just left with it. We'll get a demo car here in the next few weeks and I'll get the chance to spend a little more time with it.

Here in North America we are still waiting for the configurator to show up. Mexico has it up though but not USA and Canada.

MB should give everyone that adds Burmester option an IOU for installing later when chips are back. I am assuming it's that amplifier and not the command that needs the chip.

My local dealership here in Canada says they are expecting first batch of shipments to arrive mid March and early April for Toronto. If true, that would be quicker than expected.

MBUSA is so slow to update configurators I swear. Hopefully EU gets an EQE and SL configurator soon!

I know right and since Canada follows MBUSA, they both take their sweet time. Since you are constantly up-to-date on European configurators (including sharing with us pictures of the EQS without the hyperscreen a few months ago), please do the honours and let us know when they are up : ) Thanks in advance!
