Aftermarket AMG exhaust tips don't fit the C400 muffler
These are aftermarket AMG exhaust tips. In the car shop they told me that the only thing I need is an AMG bumper, which I had. However, they didn't mention that the exhaust tips won't fit a non-AMG muffler and now I have this ugly gap and it looks super fake. Has anyone tried fixing this somehow? What are my options?
I guess you bought tips for the C63 and not Just C63 style.
i would Say you need some sort like metal adapter mounted on the end of the muffler to replicate the muffler from the C63
They are sold as a package C63 diffuser + C63 exhaust tips. You only bought the exhaust tips. Please note C63 dimensions are different compared to any other W205. If I were you I would C43 items its a simple remove and install as the C43 has the same dimensions. That's what I did. So think of buying a C63 diffuser to match your C63 exhaust tips or see if you can place an adapter to close the gab as recommend in the previous post. You don't have to worry that much, the original is barely inside the tip.
If you still want it to go inside the tip, go to a muffler shop and they can weld an extension for you.

Live with it. Not sure if a closer inspection of a factory fake tip looks any more real. Its window dressing after all.

anyways, the way this is set up is better probably. any residue falls before the exhaust tip so they'll stay cleaner, and the air still goes through the tip
So OP is trying to turn their car into something it's not, buys cheap aftermarket and then is surprised it didn't all come together. Shocking. The cost of being cheap.
