This depends less on the oil and more about warranty coverage. If you have a factory warranty/extended warranty or a third-party extended warranty, then you have to follow the recommended service intervals. If you don't, you just gave the warranty company their "perfect" way out of many coverages you may need.

If you have no warranty coverage, then you can safely go a long way with synthetics. Not that I would recommend this, but I put 50K+ on Mobil1 (v6 engine) and when I did finally change the oil it was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to look. Still had an amber tinge, was not dirty/burnt and was still slippery.

My factory warranty is up but the extended automatic dealership warranty 2 years is ongoing. Good point I won't drag it then.

I wouldn't risk more than 10,000 miles on this car. Oil is cheap, an engine isn't. If you are looking to save money, changing the oil yourself can be done for about $60 and is very easy if you use a topside pump to vacuum the oil out.

My MB dealer mentioned 15,000 Kms. OEM MB oil. I believe its very good and generous. I have Peugeot 208 2016 my Peugeot dealer uses Total Quartz he asks me to come back after 8,000 kms. To my suprise my bill at MB is less then my bill at Peugeot.

The 2 main factors are type of oil (synthetic vs conventional) and your driving style/habits. If you have an average driving style and do both Highway and city driving then you can go 7K-10K miles between oil changes. If you are a more aggressive driver or most of your driving is city and short trips then go 5k-7k between oil changes. I am pretty hard on my cars and hit triple digit speeds quite often so I never go more than 5k miles between oil changes.

I just drain it out of the drain plug under the car. No reason to spend $100+ on an extractor. This is a good video showing you how to do it:

Every fluid has a life and it depends on the heat cold cycle which breaks down the elements of the oil or something like that. I'd say, take a sample at 5000 and let Blackstone lab gives you a feedback as to how the oil looks. Repeat the sample again at 10K miles and if the oil is still holding good, then surely you can stretch it to 12K miles but don't think I would go any further though.

I have a scan tool for that, but I am pretty sure you can do it manually by turning the car on to the accessory position (not starting engine) pushing the gas pedal down to the floor 3 times in a row and then turning the car off.
