Where can I find update firmware files to download for my roadtop carplay adapter ? At their official webside they do not have such kind of section... Thank you for your help.

 

I email them and they send me an update to install. Hope that helps!

 

Hi, I bought this Roadtop module a couple of months ago and it came with the following firmware:

SDK Version: 25.0.0.7.0.0.2.0
CUST Version: M5_2R163
MCU Version: 21.4.28.111
HW Version: BENZ2_G

I asked the manufacturer for the latest version, they sent me an ISPBOOOT.BIN file and after installing it the installed version remains the same. Did the installation fail or did it already come with the most recent one installed?

I've asked for both the update file and instructions from the seller via amazon so still waiting for them to provide them. We shall see if it changes any of the numbers I have currently.

We will wait to see what version they send you and what numbers will change. They gave me a zip with two files, the ISPBOOOT.BIN and another called GEMINI_PACK.BIN and they told me to copy only the ISPBOOOT.BIN to the root of the 8GB USB stick. As a key for the update I was told to use 8032. It seems that GEMINI_PACK.BIN is for other devices.

 

So I finally got time to go in and update the firmware file. From what I can see, operation wise, nothing's really changed. I did notice that they added a Youtube App in the inner portal of the CarPlay UI (no idea why). But below are the numbers for anyone that wants to compare.

I have just bought a road top 8.8 device and it needs at least one update. Having a problem finding it. can you help? I am new to this. Thanks

 

You'll have to contact the manufacturer about getting those files. They'll send over a zip folder with everything that you'll need. Just make sure you have a 8GB flash drive.
