My mercedes 2014 c180 suddenly stopped giving gas and stalled at a red light
now let me tell you what had happend
I was driving with a friend of mine infront and was driving in sport mode, not even sport+. I was driving down hill when he gave gas and i also pressed the gas but not a lot. I noticed the car shifted down which is normal. But then noticed that after the downshift or during it i am really not sure the car wouldn’t give more gas. I was pressing the paddle but the revcounter wouldn’t go up only down as we we’re slowing down for the traffic light. While we were slowing down the car downshifted more as we came to a standstill and as soon as we stopped my car had stalled. All the lights turned on which is normal when you turn on the ignition. I tried turning it on but no succes. I then waited a couple of minutes and took the key out of the car and put it back in. After waiting even more i tried starting it again and it worked perfectly fine. As if nothing really happend. I put it in drive and started slowly driving back home. When i got back home without turning it off i opened the hood and listened and looked. I could hear the engine go like in different sound stages. I kept hearing the normal engine sound then it changed as if the engine had calmed down and heard that sound till another stage i guess the engine was cooling itself down. The revcounter was staying still at the normal revcount for parked.
now the thing is i am from the netherlands and i am visiting family in denmark which is 850 km to be exact so i am quite far from home. Could anyone please give me advice or tell me what the problem it could have?

The transmission fluid itself isn't expensive but depending on where you get the work done, the labour cost will vary. Did the shop you took to send you proof that there is a leak and where it is leaking? If they are trying to hide something just to get you to pay for unnecessary repairs, I would get a second opinion from a different shop. I am hoping there isn't really any transmission damage due to the leak and that it is just in self protect mode, I am also hoping your shop is wrong and it is actually is a small issue hence why I suggested getting a second opinion. I don't think they took apart the transmission to inspect yet.
