Hello guys, I have a question of installation ambient light passenger trim. I own a w205 facelift with factory ambient light and want to install this trim. Can someone help me where to connect wires from it? Cause today took out center console and didn't find any spot to do it.

Sorry, I wish I can help however I think there is a YouTube video on how to do it but I forget what channel it was on.

Are you certain this kit is compatible with factory ambient lighting? Those plugs are the same ones used in the aftermarket add-on kit by DMP (and likely other brands).

It depends. Did your car come with 3 color, 12 or 64 color ambient light? That kit is not for 3 color factory ambient. 3 color only use 3 wires.

You will need to run a cable from under the center console up to the passenger trim. You may be able to simply plug in at that the center console using that cable. Is it a Y cable?

For my 3 color ambient add-ons I had to create my own cables and use 3 pin JST connectors.

I have this, had to cut one of my cables under the center console to make connection. Watch out of the polarity

I just changed the harnass from my oem alu piece and the aftermarket so my alu piece has the light strip below. Not a perfect fit though because the alu piece is a bit wider so there is less space for the light tube when you put it together.
The + side is that i dont see any light anymore on the top side as that was bothering me and i have the nice alu trim and not this piece of plastic.
Wouldnt recommend anyone to try it however.
Trim piece is over 300 euro if you **** it up.
