Lightbulb W205 - C400 Tune

Hey all,

Would like to hear your thoughts on tune options for the W205 C400 and experiences with ownership and/or problems/issues after the tune.
Currently looking into the Eurocharged tune with the following performance figures for stage 1:
  • Stock HP - 329
  • Stock TQ - 354
  • Tuned HP - 480 ft/lbs
  • Tuned TQ - 528 ft/lbs
The performance values seem a bit too high as it is about 150% above the stock values.

I have AMR tune on my C400 for almost 2 years now, big difference and no issues so far.
my best 0-60 run was 3.65sec.
I don't know if you wrote it correctly but i don't think stage 1 can give you 480 HP.

I have 2 C400s.

One has a JB4 and has run a 12.6 1/4mile on map 3 with 100 octane in the tank.

Bang for buck, JB4 gets my vote.

I have had JB4 on my C400 for years now. Running progressively more aggressive maps with a PB of 11.8.
Last week I took the black friday EC sale opportunity to give their stage 2 file a go.
While the car does feel better and my fuel trims leveled out, It looks like im seeming similar peak boost as with the JB4 and my times have not improved yet.
Ran a 12.0@117 last week. Going to try adding some more E85 and get another run when it cools down more (85° and its almost Dec :/) and maybe stack JB4 on the tune.

On the eurocharged site, it shows the values I posted. The performance gain sounds great, did you add any modifications to achieve that level of performance outside of a stage 1 tune from AMR?

Have you experienced any reliability issues from running EC's tune on your vehicle? I was browsing around and EC was one of the brands that kept popping up and deemed itself to be reliable while cranking out the highest amount of performance and maintaining a safe performance on the engine.

I have a JB4 on my W212 E400 that I run on Map 5 with no issues (93 octane). I haven't done any timed runs or a dyno, but I have been considering going with the EC ECU tune because it claims 480 crank HP, which seems like it would be a big step up. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who's done the swap on how it compares.

I have had two different tunes on my car since 2016. I purchased the car brand new in 2014. I currently have the DME Stage 1 tune & I love it.

420HP with 480TQ. I have a CAI as the only other performance mod.

I like this tune the most because I can put my car back to stock. This car has had a problem with the computer just “losing” files and throwing inadvertent codes. That’s why I lost my first tune (hard flash). The computer had to be reflashed by MB because bits of code were just gone. I had that tune for about 2 years before the problem surfaced. I will have to have them redo the factory program again because now it says my coolant level is low. MB said the sensor doesn’t appear to be bad. 🤷🏼‍♂️

BTW, there is NO WAY anyone is getting theTQ you stated out of a stage 1. I think that’s even pushing it for a stage 2?
