Check fuse 331 in passenger side a-pillar fuse box. It's a 5a fuse.
Do you have a picture of the exact one? I have a c450 amg and have been having issues with the buttons not working on my center console..my touchpad works but all the buttons on the side don’t work or light up anymore, I was going through online to see the diagram for the fuse box but it doesn’t show a 331 location, hoping to try this method and have it working soon ):

Thank you, that is helpful for those who have this issue.
Gave up and took it to a shop and $500 later they fixed the issue and this was all within 10 minutes, it looks like it was a blown fuse as the tech did not even take apart the centre console apart. He told me he repaired the modules but I am pretty sure if it was done within 10mins that it was just a blown fuse. Thanks ya'll for the help though
I just got the same issue today, weird. Which fuse was it? I have no 331 fuse.
I wonder why these fuses blow, any insight on the cause?
You would have to Google how fuses work, to answer that question.
I've never had one fuse blow since i've owned my CPO.
Update
I performed more analysis of my issue and no fuses are burnt. I tapped hard on the side of my center console and power was restored to the display, cd and controller. It went out again when i accelerated hard while driving. Something is loose.
Looks like i stretched some wires or loosened a connector last time i installed my ambient passenger side trim. I should've disconnected everything like a good boy, but i was lazy.

Sorry about that, I know how fuses work I meant why these fuses are blowing as in why is there an underlying problem with this system for both of you.
Well, at least you confirmed your fuses didn't blow.
I took the aftermarket screen off and the large power connector was loose. One pin had burn marks on it. (shorts?)
After bending and flexing the wires everything works again. Hopefully it remains that way. So relieved.

Glad it was a simple issue that can be fixed. Was the short caused by some specific factor?
The test was to remove the aftermarket harness from the chain and plug the oem harness back into the command. I was so happy when the cd controls and touchpad controller lit up! Thought i needed a new controller.
It's weird that if the aftermarket sceen has no power both cd controls and controller are affected like that.
One thing i did notice was i have a blinking red light on the cd controls. (Near the air bag icons) Is that for the alarm? I've never seen it blink before, even after locking the car.

Yes it is. Weird that you don't see it but it is actually pretty hard to notice, the light is very dim and from an angle you can't really see it, the light is in a different position as well depending if you have piano gloss or the wood tirm with the clock.

Hahaha! I just went to the garage. Pitch black. Its blinking. Never noticed before. Lol 🤣
