103 CONTROL PRODUCTION TEST Car - OPINONS?

I pulled the data card and it says 103 CONTROL PRODUCTION TEST 3
  • Release Date 2014-09-04
  • Delivery Date 2014-11-16
  • C400
CarFax shows 3k miles before ownership.

Q1. Does that mean the car was tested by a person demonically possessed and beat on it?

I'm assuming it went 3 rounds of testing.

Q2. Would you buy such a car or run as fast as you can? The transmission has not been serviced yet even
thought it has 46,000 miles.

Thoughts?

Found this thread that I think explains it. https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...n-decoder.html

It's one of the first cars having been built while they are testing and ironing out the production line. PT3 apparently can be sold, but it's technically a test car, and probably needed some rework afterwards as the production line wasn't quite smooth yet. Frankly I'd stay away from it. It's common wisdom to avoid the first model year of any car, and this takes it to the extreme.

Got it. Yeah even if it was warrantied probably risk of being a nightmare later on.
I'm surprised Benz allows these to be sold.

Thanks!
