Fuel Tank pressure sensor
Hi, I have a 2015 C300 4Matic (32K miles). It failed the emmisions inspection with codes P0451 and P0452. Took it to mechanic and this is his diagnosis:
Can anyone tell me if this all sounds legit? I can't seem to find online any info on the location of the fuel tank pressure sensor for a 2015 C300 sedan.
"Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor is Showing Out of Range on Live Data. We need to remove the fuel tank to inspect wiring and confirm proper power and ground to fuel tank pressure sensor. If power and ground is present sensor will need to be replaced.
Labor:
-Remove & Re-Install Fuel Tank
-Inspect Wiring to Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
-Replace Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

He says that it's a very expensive job (around $2k) because he has to drop the entire fuel tank to access the pressure sensor. He says in other models there's an access point under the back seats, but not in this model.-Remove & Re-Install Fuel Tank

-Replace Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
