Steering Wheel Discoloration/cracking on my 2016 c300

Pretty bummed about this, its on the top of the steering wheel just rotated it to the side so you could see it without glare. Is there anything that I can do? I already tried cleaning it with leather cleaner and it doesnt help. I ordered a black leather recoloring balm on amazon and im hoping that will do the trick?

Covid-19 might have caused this.

You mean the hand sanitizer? Or the sanitizing procedures performed if you bring the vehicle in for service?
