Excessive wear on steering wheel. Recommendations?

So this has been bugging me a while but now I’m finally going to do something about it. My leather on mainly the top part of the wheel is just terrible looking. It feels like the top layer of the leather completely wore off. I doubt the warranty covers it. Should I just buy a new steering wheel? Contact mercedes? Get it reskinned? My old lexus didn’t have this issue, although the top part of that wheel was wood but the sides were leather and I had it up to 150k miles.

.

You're not going to get any advice as you've failed to give the age or mileage of your car.

The sport steering wheel in my W205 is doing the same. A new one was ordered and is being replaced under factory warranty for me tomorrow.

2015 43k miles still under warranty. It’s the sport wheel too. Even if I had 100k miles this would be terrible.

hmmm really... I wonder if I can. I’ll just have to ask the dealership I guess.

Agreed, unacceptable unless you're using sandpaper gloves.

Are you by chance a hand sanitizer addict? I wonder if it could be something like that.

No reason your bumper to bumper warranty wouldn't cover that. Don't hesitate and make a claim at your dealership.
