Just today I’m a proud owner of 2019 C300 (W205). I’m struggling with the MBUX and few other things.
1. Mercedes Me is registered to another owner. I bought that car used from another non Mercedes dealer. I contacted MB in Sydney, Australia they can’t help. How do I get this transferred to my app? I’ve used to add the car with my VIN number.
2. I can see in the infographic that I’m connected to 4G network and can browse through but there’s a battery sign next to it. Where is this battery and the SIM card located in my car? It seems the previous owner didn’t deactivate this function.
3. Can someone tell me if my car displays road sign speed limits by scanning with the camera or through the internal navigation map info? In settings I could find scanning through the camera option but I checked today the road sign was 40km/h and it displayed 50km/h.

1. Provide proof of ownership and registration at a local Mercedes dealership to deauthorize the previous owner.
2. The battery sign is not your phone's battery level?
3. I think you need to have that option equipped in order to have that function.
As said above, you need to visit a dealership and provide proof of ownership so the services can be transferred to you. This is to prevent malicious individuals from simply transferring services from an existing car to them. Not sure why MB of Sidney told you that they can't help you. I'm guessing because you didn't buy the car from them, they have no interest in being helpful.
Perhaps provide a picture. There's no such thing as a Wi-Fi battery. It does however show the battery charge of your connected phone in the upper right corner next to the signal strength of your connected phone. This is information that your phone exchanges with the COMAND system over Bluetooth. BTW, your year of car doesn't have MBUX. It has COMAND.
This is part of the Driver Assistance package. If your car is equipped with it then it will read the road signs. You can use one of the available VIN decoders online and see the options of your car, such as https://mb.vin/

That's your digital instrument cluster. COMAND is the Infotainment system running on your center screen. I don't get any pop ups or ads on mb.vin, but I use an ad blocker. Yes, the phone battery information is pulled over Bluetooth. You can see what I'm talking about in the picture below. Top right corner left to right it shows the signal strength, then next to it the battery charge of my phone, then next to it the 4G connection symbol of the car itself and then next to it the SOS status. So the first two parts are from my phone connected via Bluetooth, and the last two are connection information for the car itself.

Now I’m confused on the 4G data part. My car has it too and I didn’t subscribe to any data package. Where is the SIM card installed or is this eSIM?

Yes, that's COMAND. There's no physical SIM, it's an eSIM and it has to be provisioned by MB. The data plan is part of the Mercedes me connect subscription. You have to sign up for that. Since you bought this car used, you have to visit a dealership and show proof of ownership, so they can transfer the service to you. Yours might still be active under the previous owner.
The feature you are looking for is called Traffic Sign Assist. Click on the Options tab and then look for option code 513.

MBUX is newer and it's a marketing term. So is COMAND for that matter. Internally these systems are known as NTG (Neue Telematik Generation / New Telematics Generation). COMAND is everything up to NTG version 5.5. MBUX starts with NTG version 6.0 and is now up to version 8.0 if I remember correctly. The 2019 C Class has NTG 5.5. It's the last generation before the switch to MBUX took place. The C Class got MBUX with the new current W206 generation. The facelift C Class didn't get MBUX due to the older electrical architecture that it's based on, but NTG 5.5 has many of the same features. Most obvious difference is no touchscreen, which personally I don't miss at all. Touchscreens are dumb in cars, IMHO and the auto manufactures are starting to agree with physical buttons making a comeback in many upcoming models.

I just want to add that although W205 didn't get MBUX, the X253 GLC did get MBUX gen 1.0 because that was a 2020 model year facelift unlike the W205's 2019 model year facelift.
I can relate with the hate towards touchscreens.

Hey mate I have tried everything under the sun that vin decoder site is so buggy with lots of advertisements. I got to the vin number box entered my vin and clicked im a human.. after that the site takes me to a random Mercedes-Benz car. I tried testing the water to check a random VIN no and it gives me random car Mercedes of course. Is there any other free vin decoder site? Most of them want a payment.
in another matter I wanted to convert my car’s CarPlay to wifi and bought carlinkit 5.0 dongle and paired my phone. Now the problem I see are: that CarPlay port is always on and the dongle keeps blinking even after locking the door and walking away for hours non stop. This will drain my car’s battery right? What do you recommend I can use for this solution of getting wifi CarPlay?
Not sure what the issue is. What browser are you using and are you not using an ad blocker like everybody does these days. Sounds more like your machine is malware infested. There are other decoders. Just google Mercedes VIN decoder, but most of them only give basic info. They don't give the options list. There's lastvin.com, which used to be great, but it can't find most VINs anymore. My VIN used to work, but now it no longer finds it. You can try it with your VIN and see if your car comes up. FWIW, I use Chrome and the uBlock Origin ad blocker.
I believe the USB ports eventually shut down when things go to sleep. That takes somewhere around 10 to 15 minutes.

I mean press options on the web page but anyways, yes it will that will display the speed limit when enabled.
Mate one quick question. I’m using Carlinkit 5.0 for wifi Apple CarPlay. However, this is occupying my usb port which is an easy access for me to charge my phone. I bought this online with which I can expand the ports. What do you think will this be a bad idea or I can use this with no problems?

I don't know what this is w/o any specs. Is it a USB hub or some snake oil USB splitter that doesn't really work? Either way, none of these work with the USB ports in the car. The system doesn't support USB hubs, so you can't turn one port into multiple ports. You have to make do with the ports you got. The one in the console is the one you have to use for CarPlay, some of the other ports support USB storage for music and video files and some ports are charging ports only. You find the additional ports inside of the storage cubby between the seats and there are a couple more on the back of it for the rear passengers, but you can reach around to them.

Question: I found my dipped beam is set to left. I can’t find much information on the manuals or online materials on an easy explanation. In Australia our steering wheels are on right side opposite to USA.
Should I enable left or right side traffic dipped beam?

Are you referring to the tourist mode? Our US-spec models don't have this, but EU-spec models do so if you drive between mainland Europe and the UK you can adjust the headlights between LHD and RHD. Do you have a setting for that on your AU-spec? My understanding was that modern cars with navigation systems now handle this automatically based on the car's GPS position. Either way, the headlight on the side of the oncoming traffic is the one that needs to be dipped. So in your case the driver side. This ensures that you are not blinding anybody. If for some reason you ever travel to a LHD country with your car then you have to change it to the opposite.
I’m back with few more settings help.
1. The HUD on my car always get auto turn off even though thr last settings were on. I manually always have to turn it on. Is there a way I can always turn it on?
2. The music at certain speed gives me recommended volume level. I don’t want this feature. I can’t seem to find a setting to turn it off.
