Seat Adjustment

Hi Guys, have just purchased my first Merc. a 2014 "64" plate C class 220D. I cannot for the life of me move the seat backwards and forwards. On my car, the seat controls are on the side of the seat for adjusting up and down and for the backrest. There are no controls on the door as in some models. I can only assume the fore and aft adjustment is on the centre console, but can I find it? I have looked exhaustively on the internet but cannot find my exact model on the videos. I've tried the Digital Owners Manual and it shows me a lever on front of seat which is not there on my model. Can anyone please help?

For starters, a 2014 model year C Class should be a W204. The first model year for the W205 was 2015, so you might have better luck posting in the W204 section. However, from your description, you have manually adjustable seats, so there are no controls to move the seat back and forward. There should indeed be a lever somewhere to manually move the seat back and forward old school. I can't tell you where it is, though, as I never sat in a Mercedes with manual seats.

There should be a lever at the front of the seat that unlocks it when you pull the lever and the seat can be moved backwards and forwards.

Which part of that seat is manual? I noticed your controls are on the side of the seat while the full electric ones are supposed to be on the door.

The manual part is to move it backwards and forwards. The rest is electric from the side buttons on the seat itself.

Yeah its the same there too. I got the image I shared from the internet however my car is the same. The driver and passenger seats can only be moved forward and backward with that lever manually. I don't have the buttons on the doors. Just the small ones on the side of the seats and the levers at the front
