Oh a linux system? Is it stable, why did you choose this over android (obviously we know android is based on linux).

Stable until now. Linux is by default more stable than android and the risk of android updates and or issues with hacks is limited.
It is also my personal choice as I did not see any value added of the android system apart from more complication down the line. Apple Carplay has everything I need. So why pay more.
