You have COMAND 5.5 for a W205 facelift. MBUX 1.0 as you show needs new hardware.

have you any experience with NTG5.5 retrofit to NTG6 (MBUX) ?
I know is Required change
  • MBUX NTG 6 head unit (virgin, ECE region)
  • 10.25” touchscreen display
  • MBUX touchpad for centre console
  • Or maybe can be used just, not sure! Retrofit adapter/gateway (Carsystems or equivalent) — needed to bridge NTG 5.5 car architecture to NTG 6
  • Harness set (USB, mic, antenna)
  • Coding/SCN activation
If car have burmester need change also amplifier.

only thing why I still thinking about it is touch screen with same OEM audio quality. + new featured MBUX look and system.

instead using just android aftermarket screens

not really only mentioned it because I seen it mentioned before on the forums. I don't recommend it given the cost and the complexity.

yes, it's expensive and the benefit isn't enough to cover the initial price. it's up to the person who is willing to pay the price for it. I'll probably wait until I buy a new car. 😁
