Hello, I'm looking for an air freshener which lasts longer than the regular center mirror hanging air fresheners which everyone has. I saw that there are some perfume atomisers from Mercedes-Benz (product code A0008990188), but my C class most likely is not equipped with the system which cycles the scent through the air vents, so my question is if this product could be used if I just keep it inside the car or it's designed only for that special equipment.

Those are designed for the glove box HVAC system to pull the scent through. Im not sure if there is a retrofit kit to use it, but it would be most expensive if so.
Cant imagine spending over $100 for a MB air freshener. But if you really like that scent...
They do have that atomizer system as an option so if your are willing to spend that much on an air freshener then maybe worth trying to install the atomizer.
I just use the ones clipped in the vents. Can find all types on Amazon.

I never knew about this product as I live in Europe but it's exactly what I'm looking for, a scent who lasts more than a few days. This one says it lasts up to 60 days which is awesome. I just have bought 3 different scents and I'm waiting to arrive and to try it.

I wasn't aiming exactly for this product but I thought it would last longer than the regular air fresheners and that's why I wanted to give it a try. I didn't know that it's possible to retrofit the entire atomizer system on my car so that's nice to hear. I ended up buying the Bio-Bombs air fresheners as they last for a very long time but thanks for providing me the information about retrofitting this system.
I've got the Bio Bombs air freshener bars a week ago but the scent is not very strong and there are times when I barely can smell it even after I added a piece under the driver seat besides the one which is under the passenger seat. I thought it would smell just like the mirror hanging ones when they are brand new and you can really feel the smell the first few days but for some reason the smell in this ones is a bit toned down. Also I felt that the instructions are a bit ambiguous because they mention to put the bar under the seat but not in front of the air vent, which is hard to locate or make sure that the bar won't move and get in front of it nevertheless. Have someone actually used them and have a different opinion?
I only use it on low because the scent gets strong fast. The bottles last ages but they’re pricey, so I tried refilling an empty one and it worked fine for me.
