Car wash mode….

On my C300, when I activate car wash mode it informs me (among other things) that my mirrors are not folded in, but it does not automatically fold them in.

On my GLE350, the car wash mode does automatically fold in my mirrors when activated.

Was curious if I might be missing a setting on the C300 that would enable auto mirror fold when car wash mode is activated?

Carwash mode is missing from many W206 models and may have been incompletely implemented/coded on yours. Not sure if that's normal operation but I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, the mode doesn't even exist on my C220d W206 - but I do think that it can be coded (whenever the right certificates gets into the hands of the right people )

I had my car coded by @simon_benz_coding on instagram if you're interested. He had zenzefi certificates and I just needed to buy an ENET obd cable to connect to a windows computer. He activated lane keep assist, AMG clusters, start-stop/mode memory, offroad and sport + dynamic mode on a w206 with no drivers assist or dash cam package, but I forgot to ask about carwash mode!

Oh, I have already reached out to Simon

Do you have a link to the cable that you ended up buying? The only cables I can find online, are specifically for BMW's

Would be curious to see once you have it programmed, if the mirrors will automatically fold in when you set it.

I purchased this at the direction of another coder before I found Simon:
Amazon Amazon

It also says it's for BWM but worked with my C300.

Well, that link threw me straight at a Treadmill

But I will buy one of those cables that says BMW, and let Simon give it a try.

I never looked for this on my '22. Is it safe to assume I don't have it?

I go throught the carwash 1-2 times a week and just follow a simple routine: Air on recirc, press the "parking camera" button, whatever it's called, and turn off warning chimes. I usually don't bother folding the mirrors. Recently I had been finding my fuel filler door open when exiting, but it's actually stopped already, maybe enough people complained that they lowered the brush pressure?

I guess it depends on how many European cars go through it, is yours (the car wash) one of the state of the art ones? I believe Japanese or Korean makes have the fuel door unlock inside the vehicle.

That is a curious change, I wonder why.
