Delivery time from Port in Germany to Baltimore
Hey All,
Does anyone know which boat Mercedes uses to transport cars from Germany to Baltimore and how long it usually takes. I ordered my C300 in March and my car been at the port since July 12th still waiting to leave and the dealer isn’t being very useful. Every time I call he keeps saying they are waiting for the boat to get filled up and postpones the date.

Check this thread

However C300 is built in South Africa, and in my case it came straight from there, not stopping in Germany. In that case check this thread

the Dealer said it was built in Germany because of the paint color. I got the Magno matte Grey. The dealer is acting like they have no idea where the car is.

Yea doesn’t come up on the website. When I call the dealer they just say it’s at the port and is waiting for the boat to get filled. But I said to the dealer how long does it take the boat to get filled it’s been there since July 12th. He also said it’s a direct trip with no stops. I don’t see any WW boats going straight from Germany to Baltimore without stops.

Did the dealership give you a date when to expect your car?
Like many customers for any new cars, they dont have the power or ability to order other parties to put any pressure on deliveries. They have to rely on the system to tell when cars can be built and delivered.
Its frustrating when its out of your hands but you'll have to be patient and wait for the eta to come.
If its past your deadline date then maybe some sort of loaner car they can provide to you while your car is in transit.

In my case it was about 3 weeks from build completion to on a boat. Once the boat leaves it’s about 5 days from Germany to Baltimore. Once it gets to Baltimore it can be a while before it gets on a truck and heads to the dealer. My car sat in Baltimore for nearly a month. I ordered a 2023 GLC 300 in the first week of may and I picked it up last Saturday.

I ordered my 2023 C 300 in Oct 0f 2022 and I just received it on May 20, 2023. I was told too by the dealer the same, "it's on the boat, yada-yada in Baltimore and had to to through customs, etc. Once in Baltimore it takes about 3-4 weeks...at least mine did. Good Luck!
