I saw the showcase video and it was nice feature but I also thought this was going to be a distraction to the drive or possibly on coming drivers.
Would be good to hear other thoughts.
MB makes all the big noises about the projection. In actual fact they dont activate it in most countries. So you pay the money BUT dont get the activation. In Aus, they BS about gov not allowing it.

I have a 2023 / 73 (UK) prem+ that does have projection and welcome / leaving animations.
Car has triggered the "crash" symbol on the road when too close to the car in front and the odd triangle shape of I cross a line without signalling. It hasn't yet detected roadworks or someone in the road.
To be honest the symbols are not that bright and don't really add anything.
I do find the digital light superior to the multibeam lights on my previous A-class though and have yet to be flashed by passing cars.
Just a pity I don't have ambient lighting in the air vents, but that's a separate discussion!

Some newer UK spec W206 has option 891: Premium Ambient Light, but no 894, Premium Plus Ambient Light. But it can be retrofitted, we just ordered one retrofit kit, wait for the delivery.

Do you know if it's possible to install the rear ambient lighting vents on the back of the centre console using original manufacturer parts? I'm assuming I would have to use an aftermarket loom for it

Only V206 (China Made C class) long wheel base C class has this option, you may try your luck to order two rear vents see if it fit your W206 or not. If no, buy Replica vents. We suggest all our customer dont install replica vents with lights, reason is the feeling of rotate it is different, not that smooth.
