Creaks and Rattles from Center Console After 10k Miles

Has anyone had success with the dealer fixing their creaks and rattles?

After about 10,000 miles the center console (where cup holder is) rattles when braking. It’s not super loud but it’s the kinda sound that drives people nuts 😂.

If I stick paper in-between the crevices of the console it stops the creaks.

Curious if anyone else had this issue and had it fixed

This is unfortunately a super common issue going back generations. I had a similar creak in my 2020 W205 that drove me INSANE. It took the dealership days to find the loose clip in the headliner.

In my 2022 and 2023, the only time I notice rattling is when there are bottles or other items in the cup holder. You can press the little buttons at the top of the holders to release the plastic bit that'll pop out and push on the bottles to keep them secure. You can also remove the entire cupholder and reinstall to re-secure it.

If the rattle persists, get ready to leave the car at the dealer for a few days while they take it apart and try to find the source. You're going to have to convince them of the noise if they can't recreate it on a 1-2 min drive around the lot.

So far I have cracks coming from the center console, noises coming from the passenger seat and a chirp coming from the back I'm not able to pinpoint, every time i hit the smallest bump on the road.
For the seat there's a tsb and I'll take the car to the dealership after the holidays to get it fixed.
For the center console cracking noises I will take apart the console to install the illuminated rear vents I ordered from China, and take the opportunity to wedge some felt between the seams and see if it helps.

Did you ever find out how the rear vent lights are wired? Do they tap from a nearby ambient light like the front vents?

For those interested on the illuminated rear vents, this is the link to the thread where I explain few things I found out during installation:

A nice side effect, result of the rear vent installation, is that the crackling noises coming from the center console disappeared.

I believe it's related to the 8 screws that fasten the infotainment bezel to the console. IMHO I found them to be too tight from production, and maybe that was the cause of the noises. When I reassembled the bezel I made sure they were tight but not as much as before.
