I installed a screen protector because I know someday, somehow, something will happen that would scratch my screen. I'm less concerned about fingerprints (or dust) - we carry a microfiber cloth in the glovebox.
The Spingen gloss one works great, had the matte one initially, it doesn't really address glare much while make the screen much much dimmer and looks lower-res. Swicthed to spigen gloss version, other than being the fingerprint magnet it is. it works great with 100% coverage. The remainder of this car's interior is alreday a fingerprint nightmare anyways(door switch panel, start button, overhead controls, center console, steering wheel button, you name it), so I don't mind wiping everything down once every couple month. Also I figured ceramic coating works great to reduce fingerprint "build up" on the protector and piano black trims. Just make sure to apply it to your screen protector and not the screen itself in case it might react with factory antiglare coating, and definetly don't use it on the driver display.
[QUOTE=Womby;8911898]Hello
Any recommendations on quality screen protector for the MBUX display. I am based in Australia.
I bought one on Amazon for my c300 it was great , but I hated all the finger prints. So I bought a Matt screen for it. It arrived broken so I never returned it just threw it in the trash. I’m looking for the Matt screen protector for my 24 c43. I heard reviews that the Matt seems to look scratchy . Any ideas?
Yes it looks very very scrachy, and as I mentioned make the screen looks really bad. And in my experience offer limited help with finger print. Though def help with glare. See pic. Matte screen under direct sunlight with shade open, you can see how much it helps with glare, but you can still see my fingerprint smudg, and how much it cuts down the resolution.
