Dashcam startuptime
Hi
Anyone else anoyed over the startuptime of the dashcam? My cam only starts recording after 30-60 sec. In that time I have already left my driveway, driven out of the parking lot of the supermarked etc. Potentialy an accident would not be recorden. Can anyone tell why the cam is not starting instantly?
In my opinion it should start when I unlock the car.
Also I was disapointed to learn that it is only the front cam there is activated as dashcam even though you buy it from new. I've expected that there also was a rear cam, and that there was a builtin memorycard, not have to buy an exstra memory stick myself. Definitily not worth the money, I would have bought a 3. party dashcam instead If I knew what I knew today.

What size is your flash drive? Mine seems to get slower as it fills up. I think it's a disk caching problem with MBUX in my EQE SUV. Manually deleting the files before it starts loop recording fixes it. I'm thinking of replacing my 1 TB SSD with something a lot smaller like a 64 GB stick to see it that fixes the issue more permanently.

I’ve had a problem with it sometimes saying the storage is too slow and stopping recording.
In the uk it doesn’t start automatically so you have to remember every time.
The quality isn’t that good anyway. Especially at night.
Ive just installed a fitcamx which starts automatically and is far better quality.

We had this issue - and the "too slow" issue mentioned in the thread - until we bought a thumb drive (256GB) that wasn't from an off brand. Since we bought a Samsung one no issues.
