My 2025 C300W4 has been produced in South Africa on August 26, and as of Saturday, September 21, it was still reported as waiting for a ship. Would anyone have an idea what is taking so long to get on a ship? Anyone aware of how long it would normally take to ship from East London, SA to Baltimore? I'm sorry, but I'm getting anxious since my 23 was stolen in March and I had to wait until the beginning of June to be able to order the 2025. I know it can normally take a couple of weeks to get from Baltimore to Chicago. I saw another thread about using www.vesselfinder.com to track the ship, but it has to get on one first!! My sales person has been updating me weekly.

I appreciate any information that can be provided.

Update:
Just received an update from my sales representative. It is finally "on the water". I got the name of the ship and can track it on www.vesselfinder.com. Seems that to get the best information from that website, they want you to pay, otherwise you get information that can be up to 48 hours old. If anyone knows something better, I'm all ears. The vessel tracking site shows it is due in Puerto Rico on October 9. The ETA the sales rep had for the ship to arrive in Baltimore is 10/27/2024. At least I know it is heading this way.

When I ordered my 2023 model I searched a lot about shipping from SA.

This is the thread I found most useful, you will find bunch of information there

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'll keep this thread updated too.

That tracking link you provided in your post is a little more up to date than the vesselfinder.com that I got from another post. I also found that it has appeared on my dealer's website, although it is marked sold for them.

Can't help with your question, but please update when you get the car and check in periodically. Not enough info out there on the W206 cars re: real world experience. Hoping all is well with you and your updates will only be positive. I keep looking at a June 2024 build/2024 model nearby, but worried that 2024 builds are still having issues like the early models.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response. I had a 2023 that I had ordered in early 2023. It was produced in April and I received it in mid-June. Then in March of 2024 it was stolen. My insurance company declared it a total loss, and it was finally recovered last week, completely ruined. I couldn't order a 2024 build, and I had to wait for a 2025 build done at the beginning of June. I was produced the end of August and finally got on a ship September 24th. My dealer said it was due in Baltimore at the end of October.

I did experience a couple of issues I've read regarding the C300W4, and am hoping this 2025 is the same. While I did see the large screen in the center pixilate once, and a software update corrected that and I did not have an issue after that. The panoramic sunroof, the movable portion spontaneously exploded while driving down the road and Mercedes would not cover it, but my insurance covered it 100%. That was all I had trouble with. lHopefully I don't experience any problems with the new one. Given the dates provided so far, I expect the vehicle to make it to my dealer in Chicago around Veterans' Day.

Update
Update. Just learned that the ship my car is on, Glovis Sun, is due into Baltimore tomorrow. That could put my car into Illinois in the next couple of weeks, so that October 27 date I received early on could very well be it. My sales associate will update me when he learns it is released from the VCP and on a truck.

2025 C300
I am enjoying my 2024 C300, I am sure you will enjoy your 2025 soon. Hopefully, MB is working out the kinks in this model as time goes on.

Did you get 4Matic? Would help in the Illlinois winter. In New Jersey, it’s hard find one without it.

I am looking forward to it. Really missing my MB after the 2023 was stolen. Checked this morning and the Glovis Sun is steaming up the Chesapeake Bay towards Baltimore. Hopefully I will have my car by the end of the month. And yes, I got a 4Matic. I had a 2015 C300 4Matic and the 2023 4Matic was great in the snow. I guess unless special ordered, you cannot find a non-4Matic up here in Illinois.

Thank you for the response. I'm jealous that you are so close to your car, but after all I've been through this year, I'm very excited that I'm getting so close to the delivery of my vehicle. Post when you get your vehicle and post a picture or two. Take care and good luck with your vehicle.

delayed another day- supposedly coming into port on the 30th. It’s been a week delay because it was originally due into Long Beach port on the 23rd. I feel like it will never get here!!!!!!!! Ughhhhhhhh I didn’t have this much drama getting my 2022 when there were supply chain issues!

please post pics!!!

Well a vehicle carrier that came through Panama Canal arrived at Long Beach at about 345anm pst today and i think my car is on that boat.

I figured since this boat was originally supposed to be in Long Beach on the 23rd and it was delayed til the 29th, then delayed until today the 30th. This the boat was in Panama for 5 days before leaving for Long Beach, I think it’s on that boat. It’s marked priority 1 so hopefully it will get to my dealer Keyes Mercedes in Sherman oaks, CA soon.

Great to hear! Mine got completed at the detail shop today and I picked it up a little while ago. Unfortunately, the weather here is not conducive for me to get any good photos. The ppf, the window tint, and the ceramic coating came out perfect. Hopefully I can share something tomorrow. Keep in touch.

Here are a couple more that I got today. The weather had not improved too much, but there was some sun. I had been out of town all morning, so I got these in the afternoon.

beautiful car!!!! I hope you are loving it!!! Drive it in the best of health!!!

Mine is on its way to the dealer. Went through VPC fast as it was marked Priority 1. I am hoping to get it this weekend. Once I get it I’ll get my windows tinted and ceramic coated. Yesterday I washed and prepped my 2022 300 for final destination to the dealer. My car is immaculate, 3004 miles on it. I have been having some major health issues with an inflammatory auto immune disease which precluded me from enjoying idriving but I’m on a new medicine now that’s helping. Dealer is doing a lease return and then buying my car back first their lot. I’ll post pics before and after my tinting!!! So excited to see my car in manufaktur Alpine Grey!!!!!

enjoy your new ride!!!!
