Marketing hype. That software is gonna be a long time crackin. OH they will crack it, but for now it's just marketing hype.

Look how it's working.

Brabus has always been in bed with Benz/Amg. It will cost a billion, but I bet Brabus comes out with the first real tune.

Yes, seems everyone is in agreement it is hype. Not very professional to put out such claims without support.

Wrong forum. Moving to the CLS forum. There are times when we keep certain posts here due to traffic but this is clearly a discussion for the CLS world.

This is the same engine that is in the CL63, which has been out and has been tuned already, so I am sure they CLS 63 can and will be tuned as soon as its out...

No doubt, but claiming to be the first without a dyno or anything at all is kind of strange.

I bet we will see a lot of 600+ hp tunes for these motors, going to be exciting.

No, the new CLS63 is a 5.5L bi-turbo V8, the current generation CLS63 is a NA 6.2L V8. The "63" designation on the new one is a little odd, I'd have thought they would have called it a CLS55 but whatever. What's more important is that the "code" is rumored to be nearly impossible to crack, I even heard rumors that even if it is cracked it "updates" itself and can reflash itself back to stock, like I said, that's the rumor on the street, not sure if it's true or not

As other have already mentioned, it's going to be a LONG LONG time before anyone cracks this code on the bi-turbo.

Its impossible to crack because people are not using the right tool for the job. The V8TT software is already available.

That is frickin wild! Only real explanation would be someone from AMG leaking it out! That or someone on a test drive (car and driver etc) yanking the ECU and having someone read it.

Hmmmmm, could AMG be playing a big game with us??? "Don't you DARE mod these cars or we'll section X your asZ and void that warranty"

All while putting the software out there for us to tune and mod.

You're not to far off. When Stuttgart is just down the road cars tend to show up at a shop or two. Before they hit the market

600hp....that isn't much of a gain. AMG states that this motor, with the optional "performance package" develops 563hp. I doubt anyone would be to terribly excited about an extra 37hp. At that level it would hardly be noticeable.

BTW...Kleeman has tuning available for the TTV8...so I guess the wait isn't going to be that log after all.

nothing is imposibble. and i think it will have kind of a back up file hidden. so you have to flash both of them to fool it if it has the ability to reflash itself back.

like the new Audi.

without exhuast and cats delete. i think 37hp is what they can get or 40 hp above performance package.
