BMW M5's Active Sound Design

How the BMW guys get it so wrong? Fake engine sound through the car's speakers?
What happens when you get an aftermarket exhaust and the sound doesn't match up? What happens then?
Or....maybe the M5 owners can download different tunes and make their car sound like a F1 car, LOL!
I just really don't like the way how the M cars are designed in the last couple of years. I think their last great M cars was the E46 M3. I had a E60 M5 for a couple of years, but I felt the look (both exterior and interior) was a little blend. The engine was a peach though!

I'm not a big fan of the look on the new M5, that butt is so big and ugly!

"The Active Sound Design technology specially developed for the new BMW M5 takes its cues from the driving situation at any one time to deliver an accurate reproduction of the engine’s sound through the car’s audio system.”
I don’t care. It’s wrong. The same way saying a perfect sex robot is as good as the real thing would be wrong. Real always beats synthetic. I don’t care if that microwaved banana feels just like the inside of Linda Friday, it’s not."

Let me add fuel to the fire in a way. I'd say that the F10 M5 WILL be faster in not only track but also straightline. It will "pull" up top.

. Maybe it will include a driver that can brag on the owner's behalf?
