Question What wheel finish should I get on P40s for '12 White CLS63?

Was thinking 20 or 21" in gloss charcoal, textured black, or gloss black. I will be painting the emblems to match the rims. Opinions?

I had textured on my M3 in 20's..... I have gloss on my 997.2TT... gloss loses its shine after a few days of driving due to brake dust but looks great when clean. Textured is what it is.

I have the same issue as you do for my black car and I think Im going textured.

You def know how to mod a car right! I was leaning toward textured...now the question is charcoal or black? Charcoal shows wheel details better from a distance, but black looks soooo good on a white car. Just found out P40S doesn't come in 21, so prolly gonna do 20s w/ a KW drop, hopefully will fill out the wheel well nicely.

I like charcoal on white--- its a change to the black. Im staying with black because I have the PP and red calipers- I love the contrast at against the black wheels.

I think I might have changed my mind to the P47's..... damn...

or .....

Vic, you ever play with any of our Flat/Satin finishes?

Just throwing these finishes out there, just for the hell of it.

I think Charcoal would look great on white. But as of late, I do find the new tinted brushed finish absolutely amazing...

I hope he doesn't mind me using his pics...

Here are my old HRE's finished in Gloss Charcoal:

Is textured the same thing as matte/flat black? If so, I would say they get just as dirty as gloss wheels. They don't have a shine to lose but brake dust turns them more brownish looking. And you can't just simply wipe them off like gloss wheels...you have to reallllly rub them and move your head to 20 different angles of light to make sure you got every spot. If you are down for the workout tho, they are worth it. I haven't checked out satin/semi-gloss though..they seem to be the perfect middle ground

I owned a set of textured (see pic) and stil have the gloss ones... the textured ones showed brake dust much less than the gloss ones. As for cleaning, it was simple and all the dirt washed off easily after each wash.

Textured is not the same as matte/flat black, at least with HRE. Im sure Lon will chime in here since he works there. I am just speaking from ownership experience of both HRE finishes.
