Wheel balance ... was off from factory with vibration at 70 to 75. Took to dealer, rebalance, vibration moved to 80 to 85 =/ Annoying.
Steering column squeak ... when the car is cold, there is an annoying squeak coming from directly down the steering column, behind the dash. Goes away after a few miles of driving. Requires turning the wheel by more than about a half turn to notice. Taken to 2 different dealers now (Fletcher Jones and Laguna Niguel), both denying the problem exists. Of course, neither actually checked the car cold, as when I went to pick it up the car oil temp was at 200 =/ I told them both they had to check it cold.
I'm tempted to call MB directly and complain, but havent felt like dealing with it right now. Too busy at work.
I've been lurking here for awhile, reading up on all the info regarding tunes for the 63.
Bought the wife a CLS63 for xmas. Black on black, P30, LSD, all the goodies for the most part except night driving assist and the ceramic brakes. Traded an 09 550 and never had any problems with it.
Due to a decent pre xmas snow storm, we didn't really have a chance to drive it much until last Thursday when the wife decided to drive it out of town on a business trip.
Less than an hour into the trip, I start getting calls from her as the cruise control had stopped working, and wouldn't re-engage and just about every system imaginable on the car is being reported as unavailable or failing. This mind you on a completely clear day, clear roads, and the exterior of the car is 100% clean. Same thing also happened to the guy who drove the car out to us on delivery, but we wrote it off as being due to the road conditions at that time and the exterior sensors being dirty.
Benz picked up the car yesterday and hopefully its just a short or some easy fix. Dealer has always given us excellent service, so I'm sure they'll get it sorted out.
Only other problem with the car is now my son wants one too.

They ordered a new one, but unfortunately it has to come from Germany
i noticed it the first day when i got the car and complained about it, but you all know dealer won't do a thing unless there is a fix from MB, but i did it myself and the service manager agreed on my way better than MB way which requires to open the dashboard again and everything to stuff it, my fix was double side 3M tape and a stick a small piece that do the job perfectly and within 2 minutes of holding it till it grabs and dry.
