2012 cls lease offer
Gents, I live in a small market. No s63,s65 or cls63 amg to be seen on the lot. I got a call today from a sales rep who said they got in a cls63 someone ordered and decided not to get. He offered it to me on three year lease for 5k down, 1750 a month for 36 months with 12k miles per year. Does that sound right, or fair for that matter in your opinion? The car stickers for 111k he said so it should have all key options. That just sounds like a brutally low three year residual to me. At a loss as to what to do especially with the build cycle well underway.

If they're not offering a discount, run away. There are plenty dealers out there offering really good discounts on them, especially now that winter is just around the corner.

Most dealers will give the same BS - limited supply/allocation, they only have $5,000 (or some other number) margin, etc. I was able to quickly get three dealers within 50 miles to agree to $5,500 off MSRP on a 2012 CLS 63 and if I had been willing to wait longer I may have done even better. Check out zag.com - shows what people have been paying in your area relative to dealer cost, invoice & MSRP, also shows what their margins are so you know their "squeal" point.

I worked for mercedes for alot of years there is a 12% spread whereas thou, 6% holdback and 6% front. so Buying a mercedes is no longer a secret and the last post is right they will sit on that vehicle for a long time or dealer trade where there is no profit. So set the buying price accordingly.
