I finally got my first AMG car - The CLS 63

I passed on The BMW M5 after reading all the reviews. I was the first in line to get the M5 too, but i don't know what was about this CLS when i saw it the first time.

In comparison to my previous M cars. This car is luxurious, refined and a monster at the same time. The interior is much better than the BMW's. The M5's interior looks exactly the same as the other BMW's in the house. Did I mention the sound - its is absolutely amazing.

Yes, the gearshifts are nothing like my old E60 but it doesn't matter as for a daily drive its more than fast.

Now i can't wait to modify this thing

Just sold my 2011 Cayenne Turbo modified for this and i'm missing it a lot. Now that i am back I'm sure the CLS won't make me miss it too much

I must thank Ali_55 from our forum as i was in Abu Dhabi for the Formula 1 and met him there. His car is out of this world and the pictures do not give it justice.

I was still deciding between the M5 and the CLS 63 as both were on hold for me and after seeing his car, it was an easy decision. Thanks a lot Ali

 

Nice Storm Red!!! If you like the exhaust now, remove the resonator and replace with a straight pipe!!!

I would def like to modify this car but since this is my first AMG i am still looking at all the options. Which ones do you have personal experiences with?

Also, a stupid question - i noticed you mention something about an X pipe and i don't know the difference between the X pipe, Straight pipe and changing the exhaust. Which one sounds the best and gives the best performance

Do the straight pipe when removing the resonators; your car will truly wake up. Its literally two straight pipes that replace the resonator which is centrally located under the car.

Performance wont change with this mod- but you will gain sound.

Hey Vic. I just got a 2012 cls63. And. It's not loud enough I really wanna take of the resonator my only question is does it drone at all that's all I am afraid of if. I do it I just don't wanna do it if it drones since its my dd

Drone sound is very very subjective... what one may think is a silent cabin might be too noisy for another. I personally dont think there is much drone- the car opens with noise when you are on it but at the 2k to 3k rpm cruising speeds its quiet. But as I said this is very subjective.

Its a very simple install so if you dont like it you can switch back in no time.
