It's just pay-to-play; no AMG ownership necessary. Check out AMGAcademy.com

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
They offered an invitation to me after getting my CLS63 and I'm sure other owners here received one as well.

Sadly, I couldn't make it to any of the dates for Laguna Seca.

I wish they would extend that invitation into next year.

2007 E63 w/P30 and Eurotech CF Diffuser
Did the pro event
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qidU...e_gdata_player

There is a 1:47.3 lap in this video, second fastest lap of the event.

But I bet I did the fastest E63 lap at 1:50.00. I did similar laps in the SL63. I do not fit in the C.

It was a blast.

Great pix...thanx for sharin'. Driving Seca is on my bucket list.

I'm doing one day here in CT in May....my 6th academy day in almost as many years.

I see Nick 'Kuni' is instructing again...what an awesome guy he is. I look forward to seeing him again.

You don't have to wait for an invite after your AMG purchase. Just call and show proof of AMG purchase. You can get one day basic course free or $1595 credit towards "advanced" or "pro" level. And yes Nick Kunewalder is the best instructor there, IMO.

And my 2-pedal car will reliably walk your 3-pedal-er.

I went online and saw that they give you the one day basic course for free with proof of purchase of an AMG or credit towards the 2 or 3-day courses.

My question is do they require that you have previous done the one-day basic already to be able to do the 2 or 3-day courses or can you just jump right to those?

i new to the world of AMG (in the process of buying a '06 CLS55), but i have nothing against automatic slush boxes which i've owned my fair share of

don't get me wrong, i'm not saying one is inferior to the other. i'm just saying at a driving clinic it would be great if one had the option to polish up on clutching/shifting/heel-toe technics as well as other skills being taught by AMG academy.

that being said:
are you sure about walking my 3-pedal-er (e46 M3+built bottom end+precision t67 turbo ? 681rwhp 110oct+100%meth (friendly tease)

and currently building a 3-pedal widebody station wagon (b5 s4+oem rs4 body conversion+2.7L->3L stroker+built bottom+top end+1 pair of Tial R770 turbos)
shooting for 650awhp+ on 91oct+50/50meth

and freshly painted

motor is currently being built. shall we put together a friendly race once it's all back together? (another friendly tease )

it's a term almost every auto enthusiast uses to describe automatic transmission, yes?

but i'd lose the bet, i'm on e46fanatics but no longer active.

active @ M3forum but only in the OT (come and check it out...we have quite a crowd)
http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29

and @s14.net

and hopefully here @ Mbworld if i can blend in well with the 2 pedal crowd

Hey. Hey. Why do you have to be that one-in-four-million person that could smoke me with your eyes closed? Terrible.

Point taken on the 3-pedal skills, and I will be absent from the forums until I figure out how to best remove my foot from its current residence of my mouth.

Awesome cars.

I didn't even know there is a complimentary driving day until I received my notice in the mail last week. I'm signed on for Leguna Seca on 9/24. Can't wait!
