805Benz - CLS 63 AMG Magno Alanite Grey - Arrived!!!
I just couldn't wait anymore. I had a CLS63AMG on order and it needed two months at least. If anybody want's it, you should still be able to customize it and get a good deal, let me know.
Last night I picked up the beast:
2012 CLS 63 AMG
Designo Magno Alanite Grey
Premium Package
AMG Performance Package
Limited Slip
AMG 19" Forged
Carbon Fiber
Drivers Package
Parktronic w/ Active Parking Assist
Night Vision Assist Plus
Next mod: Tinted windows
Possible mod: Video bypass, K40 Radar
Driving impressions: Coming from a 911 C2S cab and modified Z06 is a big difference. Very comfortable car to drive and space to put your junk or passengers.
Electronic gadgets and driving aids: Distronic cruise control is great for long trips. The car takes control and is very smooth and has no issues of applying strong brakes when needed.
Lane assist is nice to know when somebody pulls in your blind spot.
Night Vision has a excellent quality camera. Will check out how well it works on the dark roads.
Dynamic seats: Give you the side support when going on corners. That's nice.
Interior quality: Every inch has been done very well. The seats are very comfortable and gives you plenty of seat adjustments.
Trunk space: I almost forgot such a thing existed from my other cars. Plenty of space to put large suitcases and fold down rear seats for more stuff.
Noise: Very quite except for that slight exhaust rumble to remind you of the motor on tap.
Eco Mode: 20 MPG driving smooth. Cool feature but I am sure I will be forgetting about this one soon.
Suspension: Comfort mode is very plush. Sport 1 gives it a nice firm ride and Sport 2 is extra firm in case you want that sport car feel with coilovers.
Bluetooth: Very easy setup with the iphone. Bluetooth audio is nice to play pandora, youtube, internet radio ect...
Voice Command: Wish the could hook up Siri to that.
Motor: Still at a couple hundred miles. Need to figure out when I am going to let this thing loose.

Looks good - just have to say that Siri works through the Bluetooth (obviously won't change any of the car settings, but all her normal functions work just fine)

Cool color- how much extra work is required? I know you cant wax it right and you cant leave water on it or it spots or did I hear wrong?

Thanks.
Yes it is.
Thanks.
I tried it today through the bluetooth. It works. Only if it could change the settings and maybe have some google map feature involved on an optional 3g card.
Thank you. Not yet on the rims. Going to enjoy the 19" forged and probably save some money for the next toy in 2-3 years.
Thanks. Will see what type of work is involved over time. From what I have seen on the forum, no regular wax, polish, or car soap with wax products. There are some special products that they sell for matte finishes.
I know for sure it will be a lot easier than black. On my other black car it's a nightmare trying to keep it looking clean and shiny all the time.
The good thing about this finish is that it hides a lot of the dirt. You have to get close up to see the car is dirty.

congrats on the lovely car,
it doesn't need that much extra work for the paint, jusr wash it normally,
the one that requires a lot of care is the old matte that is very soft when you touch it.
i saw one S had it in the dealer and it is a PITA to take care of it, even the dealer complains about it.
but our new rough matte is durable and can handle anything like a normal paint.
however, after sometime you may notice the matte finishing fades away ( like the shiny finishing ), you can take it to the fealer so they redo the matte finishing on the car ( not painting ).
