2009 CLS63 AMG
will be running michelin pilot super sports.
295 30 19s in the rear as soon as the stock contis run out.
the michelins are $30 more each with way better performance.
i have 7400 miles on the car and so far i have 50% thread left. so it'll be awhile till i get new rears.

We can get a better tire in the PS2 or PSS but in my case the Pilots are too tall and I would rub in my lowered set up. So thru research and some testing I found the best tire was the Hankooks. I dont track the car and 99% of my driving will not push the limits of the tires whether I have Pilots or the Hankooks. Dont get me wrong though, I drive my cars hard and fast daily but its not canyon racing that Im doing with 4200lb cars.

So far so good, great bang for the buck tire. They drive well in the wet at higher speeds and in turns. The dry is great- actually pretty sticky.

I'm a little late on my reply but thanks Vic for the insight. I'm going to go the Hankook route as soon as my new wheels arrive in a few weeks. I like tires that have the right price point that meet or exceed performance/daily driving expectations. I've heard nothing but positive things on the V12s. Thanks again and keep up the great work on all your rides!
