Until someone chimes in that has the solution, I will offer you what I do: just turn the drive knob to "S" every time you get in. It takes half a second and kills Eco. I do it every time I drive and I don't even think about it now - it's almost automatic.

The press of a button is going to be a more simplistic solution than breaking into the software IMHO....
Is pushing the AMG button really that laborious? Dont you do it anyways?

When you turn the car on the relay will engage the AMG button and voila you don't have to press any button like poor old George Jetson.
No software hacking necessary, just a simple cheap relay switch is all you need to accomplish this and the wiring is very simple and anyone could do it.

I hate how the new cars don't remember your transmission and suspension settings and always reset to the laziest settings possible. The older ones you set it once and you never had to touch it again. A major step backwards. Imagine if your computer reset to factory defaults every time you turned it on.

And just hit the damn button / twist the damn knob.

The Eco mode button is the only reason why I have not delete my resonator yet. Not because I cant push the AMG button, but I am afraid my wife wont remember and she might get annoyed with a loud start up at every stop light.

I cut my resonator out - the starts really are not noticeably louder that before I changed the exhaust. The largest (and really only) difference is the higher RPM zone.

I'm used to it by now. Honestly I hated it at first but now just part of getting in the car move it to sport + or amg.

Yes, it's easier to just push the button and twist the knob like many have mentioned above. Hey, plus it feels kind of cool to push and twist all those buttons before driving...like a race car driver in the car right before the race.
My only fear is the switch under the knob wearing out from all the pressings. But that's why I make sure I have warranty...still don't want the car to be in the dealer service while they fix it under warranty, though.

I forgot I had Eco start, when I got my tune, Renntech asked me "if I wanted EcoStart disabled", I said YES! Gone now.

haha, guess there is always something to complain about......I'll bet everyone would want it if it didn't come on the car......LOL..............
if the S class had it and no one else, everyone would want it........
it is funny to see the look on people's faces when it stops, and then starts again......
I honestly don't know why it's THAT ANNOYING........it's playing a role about 2% of the time LOL
